the blue colour probably is a throw back from bull blood added into the mix many generations ago. after all its a common colour in staffies. The blue dog i knew of was a rough coated lakeland type so always assumed that it was a throwback to Bedlington genes but who knows? isnt the blue colouring down to a recessive black gene?????

this has the makings of a great thread!!!!!!!!!!! im no expert but like researching history/bloodlines etc ... maybe we all can learn something!!!!! here goes..... Hardesty's Turk... by all accounts hell of a worker and a looker..... corner stone of the lakies!!! G.W.. from durham started and based his line on turk... N.S from durham carried on this line.... and i think I.C from durham works/shows this line today.... maybe some of the heavy weights will post and fill in the blanks...

just breaking in my 1st pair of meindl's and no complaints so far.... there brilliant...

le chameau ..... leather lined.... expensive but last for ages.... got 15years out of the 1st pair... 5 years into my second pair....... do alot of pigeon shooting etc and out on average 45days beating on the shoot a season... so there well used... you cannot get better in oppinion.... before i got these used to do 2 pairs of boots a season be it cheap hunter/aigles whatever!!
