    ive got a 8.5 month old pup which i intend to work when shes mature enough... ive had her out and about on the shoot i beat for, trying to expose her to all the diff sights and smells etc since she was old enough to be out... the last couple of weeks, ive noticed a "light bulb " turning on with her shes hunting by herself and has caught a dozen or so rats( young uns) so far... Q.... why does she eat them???? will she be less inclined to do so with a mature rat??? shes had her 1st rag on a dead fox, was unsure at first.. barking/nipping.. but with encouragement got the message and h

    another tip i was given from a well respected terrierman was gound caster sugar, not iceing!!!! for removing sand/grit from dogs eyes.. when it disolves it goes like a gel, dont know if it soothes like tea but pulls all the crap into the gel which can be easily wiped clean..

    well im just about pulling my hair out here, been trying to catch a rat or 2 for the pup and in 8 wk ive caught 1.... oh yes not to mention 2 robins 1 dunnock and a blackbird ive used nuttela, peanut butter, blended cat food.... ive experimented with where there placed.... close to buildings,runs,grain sillows,hatching pens,walls the place is over run with em been a commercial pheasant shoot.... anyone got a spare working chainsaw going cheap cos this is doing my head in know!!! any tips folks....

    ive recently seen a lot of young dogs on the net for sale from stobart lines.. smart looking things but do they work, or are they show stuff??? i know nothing about this line, but have noticed that a few of them are coming from cleveland/durham area... does this have any signifcance???? thanks... rich
