  1. Hi mate, why dont you breed your own with the stud dog youve got advertised on preloved. Pernod
  2. Hi, Its all very well saying a terrier will know when its ready to go to ground. But i think in some circumstances you sometimes have to think for the pup and hold it back when necessary. A well bred pup will want to go before it is up to the job. Just my observations. Cheers Pernod
  3. Baw your wasting your breath mate, half them on here don't even understand the original post. Pernod
  4. Hi mate, bit of a poor night eh ?? last time you were out with your new bitch you saw 9 in 3 fields???? Yours truthfully Pernod.
  5. has it ever retrieved, if you are doing it every day, it may have lost interest. If not go back to the very basics with it, get a toy that it enjoys playing with, then throw it along your hallway or somewhere that the dog cant go round you. Throw its toy it should go and grab it, then shout it back to you, reward the pup with a treat, only do it a couple of times, then repeat daily, the penny should drop that bringing it back = treat. Best of luck mate, it can be frustrating, dont let this pass on to the pup, it must be fun for it. Pernod

  7. Hi mate, I dont want to sound too harsh, but your post is just like hundreds of other on here, people buy mature or half grown dogs and expect them to do as the seller says. I know it is not always the case, but more often than not you are buying a dog with problems that the old owner have instilled in it and can't remove. Very seldom would you find a decent dog up for sale, think about it logically, the purchase price of the pup initially, the feeding, the hours spent bonding/training the pup. I cant see someone parting with it, unless there was some unavoidable reason. Mind you going by the
  8. "HUNTING LURCHER FOR SALE BITCH LOVES HUNTING WILL RANGE AND NOT MISS ALOT PUTTING THINGS UP IT BUSHES BRAMBULLS NEEDS TO HAVE A LURCHER RUNNING NEAR IT OR A TERRIER TO PULL THE RED ONES OR YOU HAVE A DAY OUT TO SEE IF YOU LIKE IT £150 SELLING FOR A FREND I WILL GIVE YOU HIS NUMBER IF INTRESTED" Hi guys i think what hes trying to say is he has a lurcher that "RANGES" = take that to mean it fuc*s off out of sight. "bushes brambles but needs a lurcher running near it" = can catch fuc* all on its own. "selling for a friend" = hes fuc*ed the dog up himself, but is too embarasse
  9. Hi lads/lassies, Lets just be thankful he's not on here selling his cast offs. Due to 'starting work', aye right, for him starting work, read, dog not working worth a f**k. Cheers Pernod
  10. I have a mate who has a few alsations, his wife runs a rescue service for them. They have at the moment a first cross alsation/wolf. It is by far the least tractable and most nervy out of all the dogs, Pernod
  11. This place is really full of ignorant fu**ers, someone goes out their way to show a tattoo that he is pleased with, and all the armchair experts creep out the woodwork. I'm not saying the tat is to my liking, but there is no need to be so fu**ing negative all the time.. Pernod
  12. i'm a QA manager in a meat factory, a shit job, but the dog gets to eat steak every day. I cling to the hope of a substantial lottery win. Cheers Pernod
  13. Hi mate, What site does this cross make £350 on. Are they from working parents, if not this is a working dog site. Cheers Pernod
  14. Hi mate, Im sure you could get someone to make you up some bright pink ones.... what next wellingtons to stop its feet getting wet, Get a Fu***n grip. Pernod
  15. hi mate, The best method by far is using a crate, crate it when your not there, and take it out when you let it out the crate, after every meal and as often as possible throughout the day, a couple of weeks of that and the pup will only associate outdoors with toilet. Good luck
  16. Hi mate, sorry to sound harsh, but you have probably discovered the reason the previous owner got rid of the dog. I'm afraid it's back to the basics with it recall, recall, recall and a lot of bonding. Cheers Pernod
  17. hi mate, I guess you saw the parents, this would give you an idea how big it should grow. There is quite a bit of variation in lurcher pups, so how big are the parents?
  18. hi mate, as said previous i think the terrier would take a lot of time to cure if at all. You realy have to get them used to noises from an early age. It may sound daft but i start all my pups playing with balloons, the burst..bang of them is then associated with fun, party poppers are also useful for getting them used to the noise early on. Then when they are older its just a matter of starting them away from the gun and then getting them closer and closer as they mature. Cheers pernod.
  19. knobhead Aye mate i'm the first to admit i'm a bit of a knobhead. but i'm afraid your one of the rank of tossers that frequent these pages. If you can't get off your arse to go and get a dog, perhaps you should get your mummy to take you. Cheers Pernod (the knobhead)
  20. I used to travel 85 miles each way to work. I would never do it again, a couple of near misses driving when tired. It was a good paying job etc, but now i have a lower paying job with 35 miles round trip. I would never go back. Cheers Pernod
  21. Eye right mate he's too far away ''wud ov had her, if u wernt so far away bud,'' Do you not have trains, buses or cars in England. Get a f''''n grip. Pernod
  22. Hi mate, I'm sure they are all like that. I had mine down the beach today and he spent about 15 minutes chasing a crisp pack that was blowing about. he would catch it, let it go in the wind and then chase and catch again. Very entertaining to watch. cheers pernod
  23. Cheers mate, he should be healthy, I work in a meat factory and he eats better than i did as a kid. Cheers Pernod
  24. Hi Guys/Girls, Just an updated picture of my collie/grey X whippet pup, he's 6 months 22tts and 42lbs. I have high hopes for him once he calms down a bit. Cheers Pernod
  25. Not wanting to appear picky mate, but a couple of better pictures would perhaps shift it quicker. the pic you have put up doesn't show much, and maybe doesn't do the pup justice. Cheers Pernod
