I'll say something, perhaps if you were a wee bit smarter, you would realise that 'not even looking like a running dog' can be a distinct advantage. Yours in sport pernod

I think it would only be appropriate if you got the ball rolling with some pictures and information on your dogs. Pernod

All they need is timed and dated so if the snapper has a digi camera your f****d they must be able to identify him or they wouldnt have took his gun or even came to the door they need a certain level of proof first.Mandatory sentence is around 4 years you would be better telling all this to a lawyer and a good one cos your going to need one by sounds of it I'm sure a good lawyer could pick holes in that, digi camera dates can be altered. I wish him luck,a leason learned eh!! Pernod

personally i'd be embarrased to put up a topic like this. If you were poaching and got caught, FFS keep it quiet. I would think they would need a bit more convincing evidence than some randomers' pictures of you to convict you of anything. i.e can you be clearly identified from the pics, can they prove when they were taken, can they prove where they were taken. These are questions that you should be asking !!!!!!!! pernod

Is it realy that much of a problem, if you have other dogs that don't yap, then just keep the yapper for bushing or ferreting, I had a 3/4 whippet x beddy years ago, and he yapped all his life, at the time it wasnt a problem, but due to a change of circumstances i would not keep a yapper now. Come on mate, you said the biter is only 10weeks, its only young. The only thing to do is man up a wee bit and handle the ferrets as much as possible. If your afraid of them put down a bowl of milk for them and when they are drinking, quietly lift them up and let them smell your hands. All the time stroking them. Dont put gloves or scents on your hands, the whole point of it is to get them used to your hands. Pernod

A dog is for life not....or am I old fashioned??
pernod replied to midlands_moocher's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Hi mate, as mentioned previously, some just dont make the grade. If the dog was intended as a worker then i'm afraid if it turns out a 'pot licker' then you will be doing the dog no favours holding on to it. This would only lead to frustration when the dog fails at it's tasks. Sometimes unfortunately you have to cut your losses and get rid. pernod -
I was asking a question WTF is tunnel training?? I have never heard of it. I should have guessed it would be impossible to get an answer on here. Pernod

if youve cooked/boiled the rabbits, i would pick the meat off the bones and give it to the dog, you dont want to give the dog cooked bones. Pernod

No offence mate but if you have to resort to gloves you must be too afraid of the ferrets, better to pass them on to someone else. I know its frustrating when they bite you. i have 2 young ones from different breeders, and one of them has had a few nips at me and one last night that was a good bit more than a nip. As everyone else has said the only cure is to handle them, then handle them some more, most ferrets will calm down. If your afraid and snatch your hand away when they sniff it or come to it, you are increasing the chances of it nipping. So either keep at it and enjoy your ferrets o

im not realy up on gibberish, but i think hes trying to say that he was getting rid of the bitch because his kennels were full(not heard that one before), but the bitch came on heat so now he has room??? for a litter of pups. I may be wrong but that is my take on it. pernod -
Hi mate, i'm not sure of the sire, it wasnt my dog. I was led to believe that the sire was a whippet. Cheers Pernod

Swap terrier collars swap for ferret collars
pernod replied to pernod's topic in Optics and Night Vision
what, mate, Are the transmiters the same size?? I thought the ferret ones would be smaller. Is it just a matter then of changing the coller size??? Pernod -
Hi there, I have 2 MK1 15ft terrier collars for swap, as you can see from the attached pictures both collars have been repaired in the past. let me stress that these repairs are only cosmetic and both collars work faultlessly. I would like to swap them for the equivelant ferret collars( 8ft is ok). As long as they are in working order. Again dont be put off by the pics, these collars were used for many seasons after the repairs were carried out. dont hesitate to ask any questions, i dont realy want cash for them, i'm in need of collars for the stinkers, and dont think i will be diggin

I personally think its time the moderators removed some of the morons who do nothing but drag down the sport we are all involved in. Surely their input won't be missed. ( time for a cull Ithink) Pernod
