    Think it's heat treated first, they call it grey waste round here. Think the stuff that's not as well treated needs ploughing in within a certain time frame. The waste contractors were doing the spreading and ploughing so it was a good deal for the farmers. There was a company local doing it so saw it regularly a few years back. Perhaps they have changed it now because I'm not seeing it about the same

    I had that twice in two different pubs over the last couple of years...an entire transaction, from ordering a drink to handing over money and recieving change without one word being spoken.

    If British farmers joined the protest they wouldn't be protesting against net zero and the green agenda.....they would be protesting about not getting enough free money. A local hill farmer was recently on the BBC complaining about subsidies not being sorted after Brexit, she actually says she wants to cover the place in trees but they keep changing the rules. The fcker has a Jag and a ranger rover sport and has turned a barn into a hideous house on the edge of the moors. Britain and the British spirit is dead

    Bit late now as we have told em the dates and been refused. Have written to school to tell em we are going anyway and the LEA are welcome to send us the £60 fine. Still cheaper than taking em in half term

    Yeah I would give you that, the north east people are friendly. I was just generalising between the north and south from a hunting point of few visiting different areas. I live in the north west and on the whole it's a warm welcoming place

    I disagree with one of those Wilf. The one about people getting friendlier the further north you go. I've worked from the south coast to the north east and I've hunted all over the UK. I'd actually say people are more friendly down south. In Devon and Somerset I've always been made really welcome, invited into home, had drinks bought for me in hunting pubs and thanked for supporting small packs. Up north people can be much more closed and defensive. Hunting in the fells, especially the north of the fells I've had 20-30 hunting cars drive past me as I'm walking back to the meet or when ho

    Bought my lad a soft air bb gun for Christmas from Blackpool airguns. He shot it for a day or so before reporting it wasn't working properly. I opened it to take out the battery and noticed the battery connection was pouring with smoke, glowing red and melting. Now I'd paid £200 for this thing so it wasn't a plastic throw away job. Took it back after Christmas. In the shop he said the battery pins were a bit bent so we had probably been rough with it....they were bent and black as they had set on fire and welded together!     That's just not true. My mates daughter is doing officer training and her parents are a prison officer and a cleaner. I'm not saying most officers don't come from the better off but to to claim they are choosen from landowners is stupid.     Did those families speak out against mass immigration? Will they speak out at the next election. Of course it's heartbreaking.....but these days I, to a certain extent, only worry about my own.
