His gravestone bears a circle with a dot in the center, "ʘ", which is the trail sign for "Going home", or "I have gone home".[

Without googling it can anyone tell me what the circle with a dot in means on Baden Powell's grave? 5 points if anyone knows without cheating

Reading an African hunting forum. (At some point in the next 10 years I want to hunt Africa. Definitely wearing a pith helmet) Someone had visited nyeri cemetery and had posted some interesting gravestones. Jim Corbett of man eater hunting fame. Along with Baden Powell of the scout movement. I didn't realise they were buried in the same grave yard. And another one the inscription of which reads HEBEN CARPENTER, OF OKEHAMPTON DEVON, BORN 3RD DEC 1901, KILLED BY A RHINO 14th JAN 1935

China is the other big bad bogey man we are told to be scared of.....yet we close our industries to buy everything from china, and allow them to buy our infrastructure and big companies .

What's your opinion on the war that was happening in various areas of 'ukraine' for 7 years before the media informed you about big bad Putin, with Rebel groups attacking ethnic Russians?
-
Politically you are very naive pal. I think your attitude and belief sums up why politicians get away with what they do. Sorry

Single mum had it, she's been taken ill and in hospital. Family who have the kids can't have the dog. Apparently nice and quiet and settled. Bit of a rush job though if she's interested as it needs somewhere asap. I'll take it up there for her and if it doesn't work out I'll pick it up and send it over the rainbow bridge It's nothing to do with me just a friend of a friend but I'll do what I can if she's i

Nail on the head. Putin is expected to allow the west to build bio labs on his border, if he acts after years of warnings he's a warmonger. The USA poured millions of gallons of agent orange on Vietnam to fight russian influence...that must be ok It's amazing that those in the west believe everything they are told

Problem is our only chance of change is don't vote conservative..... which means a labour government...... which is exactly the same thing. Yeah I know Wilf will tell us to vote for someone else....but to the average bloke on the street they won't do that

I think masonry went through a phase in the 70's-80's where it was massive. But as it grew it evolved into something it hadn't been for 500 plus years. They bought big masonic halls, had committees and the tales/conspiracys grew as well. Throw in a few bent coppers and suddenly what the hell was it in those few decades.... certainly not what it ever had been and not what it is now. Now they have big crumbling halls, an old guard who won't let go of em and a big downturn in certain areas. But we also have a massive shift into something more realistic, something new and also in a way somet

All the best and good luck. I cannot possibly imagine how hard that is for a father to go through.

I did a lot with the fishing charity. It was one of the best things I'd done. Fishing with groups of ex servicemen with addiction and mental health was the one I enjoyed and thought they got most from. I'd agree with the ego thing....but then a lot of group charity support is like that I think. Any group that draws it's membership from a large base will have a certain type of person coming to the fore (as opposed to a charity created by people affected by a certain issue).
