Thats Gary our beater, works about 6 dogs at a time. well worth the money, a hard grafter and has always got a smile. it must be a real labour of love in these conditions

Thanks for that Kay I'll bear it in mind...the swans at the local loch will come right out the water and up to you for bread...some big feckers There lovely aint they, the big cob here is as tall as me when he is out the water waiting for bread, he has it out my hands as well

I would simply buy either a new canon or nikon bundle from somewhere like Jessops , for £ 700 you will probably get a 1000d or even the next body up & a lens & memory card for that , depending on whats on offer right now Like JD i wouldnt buy secondhand or re conditioned off the net , i got stung with a pile of shite last year , and be wary about buying seemingly new lens in the future off places like e bay as there low prices probably mean there re cons I wouldnt by any camera or equipment off the net again

My understanding of '' micro ferret'' is a tiny animal not much bigger than an average hampster , tiny sharp features & in my opinion rather sickly looking , i took 2 on around 10 yrs ago & neither lived long no more than a few months , they were just not right , cant explain it really , i think it may come from the fact they didnt have a very good start Having them from kits who by the breeders own admittence said there underfed deliberatly , Even after feeding them what i thought was a decent amount they didnt really grow a great deal & i simply found them to not be very cu

dont fish shut down in these extreme cold conditions ? the pond by me has ben froze solid for 3 weeks now , dead coots stuck to the ice as well Theres nothing on it at all now other than the odd heron looking for food

I think its just the same as having a different ''type'' of dog for a different job, even though its still ferreting , perhaps the smaller ferets will become usefull on small areas that need covering , and then bigger ferrets for other areas

My dad & his cousen who lived with then had a Magpie as boys , as my dad went to grammer school it would sit on his head as he rode his bike to school & would be waiting fir him when he came out of school , he had it a few years untill it got shot he is 70 this year & i know theres a photo somewhere of him with the Magpie on his head so that will be a real old photo if i can get my mother to find it

Lunar eclipse taken on 31st Dec with a Tamron 70/300 handheld zoom out fully at 10.1 mp , all pics were cropped to the same size so the scales the same

try and get some of them in a feeding frenzy & shoot on sports mode, you sometimes get some cracking shots with all the water & wings everywhere

had a couple of good walks today despite the freezing cold & managed to get a few photos, wagtail on the wall so i just brightened it up a bit Poor old thing horrible condition Scratching his ear wagtail came off the wall to feed
