  3. Nice pics for a phone cam, but not exactly macro... Kay's coin pic... now that's really close up! The little point and shoot cameras often have an excellent macro setting, it's one of their best features Out of all the cameras i have had i found this canon one to give the best results out off all of them & i would be tempted to simply get the same updated point & shoot if this one gives up the ghost for any real close ups , i just cant get the same results with the dslr , not sure if a macro lens would make any difference , but to be honest i cant see the point if i can

  6. put it on the supermacro setting, then at the bottom of the camera see a menu button press that & see the first option AF Frame whats it set as on your camera ? It needs to set on centre , then click the func set button

    Selfish Xmas

    I am very selfish regarding liking my own company , i think its something i have become as i have got older

Well its just a day like yesterday & tomorrow, if it not to foggy or hammering down i go out, walked god knows how many miles today , then had me dinner about 4 the lads away to his girlfriends , parents in new zealand so nowt to stop in for really . Glad you got a lens , you will be able to get some distence stuff with that
  18. i had a walk out this morning , went to a few places i hadnt walked before & spotted a fenced of area in the rough fields so i just about managed to get over to them as its very boggy So i took a few pics of them they were a bit scared at first but i had a bag in my pocket & they came over to the fence when they heard it russtle i then went to see how the swans were fairing in the frezzing conditions we have had & thankfully there all ok i managed to get right down to where they were & someone had put then some corn stuff which they were pecking at Then i made

  20. Sometimes its easier to look at diagrams than get to grips with the instruction booklet which usually only tell you what the different symbols on the dial on the camera mean
  21. well 2 of the coots have frozen to death i spotted then earlier , theres just no way of getting any food to them the only bit of water was in the middle & they just wouldnt come across the ice , nature is beautifull but cruel sometimes Fire some out with a catapault, how far are they away from you? The remaining birds on there just wouldnt leave the small hole that was left open , all sat round it i suppose thinking there body heat will stop it from totaly freezing over i chucked loads out on tuesday but the holes in the middle & i just cant get it right over
