    I would also split them up ... i think they need there own space when there rearing young & dont be tempted to peep at them the second there born ... Totally aree with Romany about the jills mothering each other purely a personsonal choice of mine

    i think its is crocii when theres more than one .. someone told me at work today thats what safron is crocus pollen Very educational ,bit like fungii or hippopotamii. Don't suppose the bees care about such things as long as they bag-up on saffron .Or in the case of the one in your neat little picture get the stuff all over her head ! I love bees there so hardworking & give me hours of plessure watching them & i love honey as well .. really love this time of year .. its like everythings waking up slowly & i keep looking back to last years pics so i know what

    I have seen at least half dozon today flitting about & honey bees .. i cant honestly remember what time last year i was seeing them but it wasnt this early .. theres only the crocus out in the woods at the moment so not much for them to go on

    I sometimes find hobs loose condition when there in season due to them trying to get at the jills & the almost continual pacing .... if he is otherwise eating drinkking & generally acting normal i wouldnt worry ... but if he isnt like his normal self i would pop him to the vets

    If you indeed have 4 entire males then the bollocks will be about as big as maltesers & very easily spotted ... if its a mixture of both sexes & you hear the tell tale squeeking from the nest box in roundabout 6 weeks time then you have a box full of kits

    I have taken a few pics of some hover flies i think they are on some crocus this morning & left one as it came off the camera other than a crop & slight shaprpen .. then took the same pics and dufused the crocus & warmed the pics up using picasa

    Thats all i saw the daffs are still about 4 inches of green .. not a single yellow bloom in sight yet you will bloom forever if the waters fresh & you take an asprin everyday :laugh: Christ knows what happened on the dog pics the background was slime green colour i had to make a dull a bit .. the dog was glowing :laugh:

    Just a few snaps from my walk earlier first crocus i have seen out properly his antlers are growing really quick they were tiny a few weeks back

    Last week while out walking i spotted a bloke with 2 dogs & at first i was a bit warey of walking past him .. but i did & just said morning to him to which he struggled to answer me.. so i just carried on about my business . I then spotted a couple of deer in an ajoining field & stood & watched them for a few seconds .. at the fence ... i was aware this bloke was to my right so i doubled back so i was behind him so to speak & stood and watched the deer grazing but slightly up hill. he then approached me very angry & asked me if i was in a camera club to which i

    I waited 2 weeks from when I first noticed the swelling before I got her mated...The swelling is mostly down now, maybe still slightly swollen. In that case i would assume she is pregnant .. i didnt notice much difference weight & body shape wise untill about 4 weeks into the pregnancy
