  1. So we shouldn't have any international law or norms? Because we shouldn't care what other nations want? Like, genuinely, we should just give up on it all and go back to jungle rules proper? Britain did pretty well back in those days. But seriously?
  2. Strategy has to start well in advance of an invasion. That's why Russia wants Ukraine, they are planning for a conflict that hasn't even begun yet. NATO has no intention of invading Russia, so having bases in Ukraine is meaningless currently. However if a conflict did kick off then those proposed bases become significant. Russia is planning for tomorrow's war here every bit as much as NATO is. I can't grasp why NATO is in the wrong or why no one seems to give a shit about what Ukraine wants. Personally I think Russian aggression is bringing NATO force not alleviating it, and NATO expansio
  3. What about what Ukraine wants? So their entire existence is that of Russian defence? Ukraine is only allowed to ally with Russia because we won't allow them to ally with us... because Russia said so? The pragmatic solution is to f**k Ukraine off as a Russian plaything, but it doesn't make it right.
  4. Nuclear depth charge? Pretty sure they had those in the South Atlantic in 82 too. Only came out publicly in recent years as would've caused a shitstorm back then. These days a Wildcat or an Orion drops a self guided stingray torpedo. Slightly smaller bang!
  5. There are about 100 people iirc who were being treated in Nagasaki for their injuries from Hiroshima as the second bomb was dropped! Literally bombed twice by atomic weapons and survived. Dunno if a laughy face is appropriate here but f**k it I'm not suggesting it's all a party, 100s of thousands died too, but I for one would like to see the other side of it. I also, think these days we cold plausibly see the use of battlefield nuclear weapons without triggering full scale strategic strikes.
  6. Really!? Living in a post apocalyptic world sounds f***ing epic! Like every tv show/film I watched as a kid. Nuclear weapons have way less fallout than power plant disasters and just look at the Eden that Pripyat/Chernobyl is. Someone tell those B-52s to bring the sunshine! I'm ready!
  7. The West/NATO has made it pretty clear, the only response to Russia invading Ukraine will be economic/political. It'd cause a proper cold war again, which could go sideways, but there will be no proper conflict between the West and Russia over Ukraine. I didn't think he'd take Crimea, so I wouldn't like to guess on this one...
  8. Sensationalism from the media. US bombers deploy to the UK routinely and this deployment would have been planned long in advance.
  9. Last weekend and I wasn’t even following the hunt
  10. They're not daft. They're going out on day's they know their targeted hunt is out and relying on tip offs to find the hunt if they have eluded them from the meet/kennels. I don't think you're going to get them out to random places on random days. Probably just be logged for monitors to check when convenient.
  11. "Some fella" Quite a famous adventurer/explorer being the first non native to walk the length of the Amazon river. Perhaps not up there with Ranulph Fiennes but still. Some fella, lol.
  12. It’s got f**k all to do with money and everything to do with class. If you want to wear a grands worth of puma then go to an establishment that want that. Very few places are going out of business for turning away tracksuits. And if they do then that’s their problem.
  13. Young farmers! No none knows your dad owns land if you don’t have your schoffel on and straw in your scruff.
  14. The pump/workout I used to get from half an hour of swimming was great. Used to climb out the pool and feel amazing head to toe. Triceps, chest, shoulders, quads, core, everything was blasted. But when you watch a good swimmer do lengths it's just effortless, like laws of nature defying. That workout I got was because it was not effortless, LOL. God I wish I was Aquaman.
  15. Dress to the social occasion! I'm clearly not in the country there am I...
  16. Mate, yes! Blue jeans, chelsea boots, choice of shirt and the schoffel. Like they're off a production line. I wear musto out of principal.
  17. I imagine it does hurt profits but then again maybe the one I was using had enough business not to care. I might have even said I didn't care to get a convenient time come to think of it. I quite like moments in life where you just have to swallow your pride and look a prat tbh! Still, I would be waiting in the changing cubical thing clock watching, refusing to leave a second before my slot.
  18. It's really quite something, a 30 year old man who looks in decent shape, stood by the side of the pool in swim shorts clutching goggles, wishing the little f***ing three year old girl/dolphin on the lesson before would hurry the f**k up and get out so he can jump in and start his lesson and hide from everyone looking at him! Even worse when your regular instructor is away and you have a subby... you walk to the pool hoping the little shit three year old is finished to save dithering like a prat, only to see a room full of total randomers. Then you have to awkwardly sort of figure out who
  19. I've spoken about this before. Yeah I have quite low buoyancy. I can swim but not well. I need to lift my head higher to breath, which drops my legs, which makes me have to kick harder to keep them up, which depletes my oxygen more, which means I have to breath more frequently etc etc. Totally unsustainable. I took lessons for a few months, which I f***ing loved, very humbling. I learnt what my problems were and what 'good' form feels like, but ultimately achieved f**k all and I sacked it off in the end as I just couldn't justify the time and expense for what I was achieving. Tbh though
  20. That sort of attitude isn't uncommon over here. Certain groups feel superior to others and protect their own sport by vilifying ones they see as less ethical. Very few people will have any real life exposure to safari/trophy/big game hunting and the mainstream narrative is pure hate, so you'll find a lot of folk into fieldsports turn into anti's with this. It's rife in fishing. Which is ironic because it'd be the easiest sport to sab.
  21. I'm not super familiar with the school run.
  22. 'Athleisure wear' First google result... Seamless Ribbed Knit Sports Set | SHEIN UK WWW.SHEIN.CO.UK To find out about the Seamless Ribbed Knit Sports Set at SHEIN, part of our latest Women Sports Sets ready to... You're wrong!
  23. I’ll check her out. I’m a big fan of valentine thomas. Id love to go Hawaii, spear fishing, bow hunting and pig doggin. Not to mention an amazing landscape. And their state flag still has a Union Jack in it, which makes me happy given they’re in the USA. Ha
