Just to be clear, do you actually believe that Russia has invaded Ukraine? Or aren’t you sure because of a lack of, what would be in your opinion, irrefutable evidence? Genuine question, nothing insinuated.

I was thinking similar but it’s a bit of a different game going to join the peshmerga to fight 30k fanatical Arabs in hiluxs vs facing the might of a resurgent Russia! Still sure some might go. Dunno if they’d be described as ‘boring’ but ex servicemen who just can’t stay away from war go. I’m not convinced they’re wired up right even though some of them have worked in some of the more elite professional units. I wonder if half of it is image for them.

The Russian side say they captured eighty odd Ukrainians who have agreed to give up and will be released. Ukraine claims 13 of theirs were killed. I believe the Ukrainian forces are overstating their victories but I also believe that this is totally inline with Russian RoEs.

I think you are using occurrences of wrongs to justify wrong as the new normal. Life isn’t black and white. If one country carries out an illegal invasion and killed innocents that doesn’t justify it as acceptable and standard in the future. Accepting the lowest standards that have been deployed just deteriorates the world to ever lower levels. Well never stop wrongs but we don’t have to accept them as the new normal.
