  1. Wars are won and lost on logistics. Time and again history shows this. But they'll be fighting on their doorstep, if they can't figure out the logistics for that then they really will show themselves up.
  2. From a purely academic point, it would be very interesting to see if tanks are still relevant on the modern battlefield. Recent conflicts, like the 2020 Azerbaijan-Armenian war and the Libyan intervention have seriously brought into question the value of heavy armour.
  3. Nordstream and Nordstream 2 pipelines. They buy a significant proportion of their gas from Russia. If Russia turned off the taps it'd seriously hurt Germany. One of the sensible decisions Sir Tony Blair made was to not allow the UK to become dependant on Russia for energy.
  4. We launch ballistic missiles from submarines these days. Sure Putin doesn't want Ukraine in anyone's pocket but the yanks stationing ballistic missile defence systems there won't stop Russia striking anyone if they decide to.
  5. Germany showing their strategic energy dependence by banning UK anti-armour supply flights to Ukraine...
  6. Pretty sure they just used a trowel. I didn’t do the drains. Im not divulging further details of the drains in case you snitch on me to the council!
  7. Weather forecast for Basra, yellow weather warning of heavy showers of tungsten and distant rumbles of thunder....
  8. Tangible benefits, off hand, AUKUS would be one. That'll be huge for RR up the road. Less tangible, we have a more simple political system which is entirely accountable to the UK electorate. The more complex a political system the less democratic it is.
  9. I do agree it can be done though, Brexit proved that, we tore a spoke out and they really didn't like it. But we weren't dancing to the medias tune there...
  10. I'd agree with you if I thought it was winning in any form. We're not hurting them, we're just turning the wheel again.
  11. Never mind the biggest issue, I still can't see it is even an issue. Where I lived at the time, my street had a street party! There was a DJ, everyone got hammered, at one point two fellas had a tear up, and the police turned up and didn't seem to have a problem with it. These are people that do not interact daily as part of their work. Xmas 2020, I can't remember what the crack was with lockdowns or tiers etc but I organised food and drink for all the depts with staff in the office. Only rule was they had to stick to mixing with their colleagues and not be socialising with anyone and eve
  12. How do they know 21T is missing if the budget is "totally unaccountable"
  13. I can imagine, well I've seen it for too many years in that area. 10-12 years ago I had about 700 acres of permission at Bottesford and it was lousy with rabbits, even for back then! No idea what it's like there now, I saw a group of lads out on there ferreting a few years ago as I was driving through so must be some about still. Had some great nights lamping rabbits at Harby back then too. I'm in dairy country now, and there just seems to be a lot more about this year than last. And a few lads have said the same. Some years I'd see pockets of rabbits cropping up in late summer getting my
  14. I reckon it's better this year. I'm flushing rabbits with the spaniels half often whereas for the past f**k knows how long absolutely nothing. Even been asked to shoot a few in one place. A few lads local have mentioned seeing rabbits about for the first time in years. Sceptical as to if they'll last mind.
  15. What happens if a meteor falls out the sky and hits the barrel to face a child just as you're about to pull... f***ing hell like, the time your finger spends on the trigger even on an intense shoot is minimal with proper discipline.
  16. We thought we had shit out but right on last light they came in. Another was unpicked and all I found in the morning was a gizzard…
  17. The fourtens are certainly good fun for a change. I bought this off of a fella on here a few years ago. Three shot suppressed bolt action. It’s a cheap gun and with its choke only any good for 20 yards. Mostly used for HD tbh.
  18. Old thread but it provoked a relevant thought... If proper trigger discipline is maintained, is epilepsy really much of a risk when shooting? The safety should be engaged and finger away from trigger for all but a few seconds before a shot will be taken. I realise that the problem of course is how many people are really that disciplined.
  19. You say nothing life changing but all those things are probably the foundations of life changing stuff. No resolutions for me though.
  20. I’m sure Goggins wasn’t wired up right. Phenomenal the way he changed his mindset and life. But Nims Dai is the new kid in the block. Unstoppable force!
