    When i did my work experience at rutland watersports, the b*****ds had me back and forth after 'sky hooks', 'tartan paint', 'glass hammer', 'rubber nails', all bloody sorts! I was sure i knew of sky hooks, otherwise i might have trigged on. I know, stupid fecker, but i was only bowt 13/14 Best of luck all the same

    Scooby is another good one. For those that havn't read it, the book takes you through the life of the author's (j.darcy) dog scooby. Theres alot to be learnt from it. I also liked jackie drakeford's books, allthough i did sometimes feel parts had to be taken with 'a pinch of salt'.

    Steady on mate, we'll be on to string theory & quantum gravity next! Just to carry on the thread, are there any physicists or amature astronomers among us lot? Just curious. It was astronomy/cosmology that really attracted me to physics in the first place, theres alot of boring shit, and i mean alot, but it all comes together and helps in the understanding of the much more interesting like astrophysics and cosmology.

    Stargate?? yeh ive wathced a bit of sci fi, wouldnt call myself a fan of sci fi, more particular series, as a rule i dont like sci fi at all lol. Im just finshing a degree in physics and last semester did a module on relativity, covering special rel and general rel, and the lecturer loved all this space travel sorta stuff so we covered all that as well, he wrote the book 'chasing relativistic rabbits'. like isaid its ambitious, especialy when you take into consideration the very very specific conditions us humans require, but never the less possible.....in theory, lol.

    oh, im with you now, lol. I was under the impression you were talking about just exploring the universe to advance science etc. moving the human race to another planet, possible galaxy......shit me your ambitious, lol. Im sure we will be able to one day though, but science and technology has a hell of alot of work to do first, even if the entire world pulled together for the cause. glad im not the only one that thinks about this stuff though

    Yeh its a great dream, but do you know the reality of it? Special relativity really fucks it all up! Speed of light is a limiting velocity, no many ways around that im afraid, so even at light speed we wouldnt get anywhere interesting very fast. However if we could travel at the speed of light then we would get to our destination instantaneous, but for everyone still on earth it would take as long as if we were classically traveling at the speed of light, so a long bloody time! Thats bassically because of time dilation and length contraction because of velocities near or of that of light, and

    Never bred before, but will be in a year or so, hopefuly get a tried and trusted line going between me and a few mates. I dont think ill sell any kits, for the little amount that would be raised by the few kits sold i wouldnt bother. I believe strongly in a 'give n be given' attitude to just about everything in life, but particlarly working animals. If i was to give a mate some kits then i would expect to have the offer returned or have the use of a hob to line a jill for free. Same with dogs.     well sounds like your parents are right in not letting you have one yet, cant just get a pup for a few years and then get rid just because your going to college. Im turning 21 soon and i still havnt got my first pup and thats because i wouldn't because of college and university etc, been waiting 6 years now, its hard as hell i know watching every one i know bring their terriers and lurchers on but i know im doing the right thing in waiting, only about another 3 months now and ill be in a possition to get a pup.
