Agree with you 100% there matey. It only costs £5 for a small animal consultation at my local vets, that's feck all to pay so you can at least find out what's wrong with the ferret in the first place. i agree but i do no someone who had to wack a kit over the head because it was never quite right and couldnt walk properly so he just put it out its misery Yeh deffinately, i havent got a problem with anyone who does the deed themselves, if mine ever need to be pts then i wont f**k about with a vet, not because of finances but becuase i can do it as well as any vet and a damn site fa -
I agree. This is the reality for most WORKING animals, ferrets/dogs or whatever. Pet owners often love their animals to death, the life of a worker can seem harsh but imo fair. Saying that i cant stand the attitude, "its only a ferret, just a fiver"! f****n sickens me

I wasn't saying that if people werent members of BASC or CA or if they didn't donate that they were antis...Was simply thinking aloud at ways they could be kept away...My post does also say that these ideas wouldn't work because of the reasons you pointed out... Definitley agree with you about the posts people make though, if people were more thoguthful before they posted then the antis would have no ammunition to use against us and it wouldn't matter that they were here anyway! Hi mate.I know we wont as they have nothing better to do.But if we can keep them out let,s try.There must be some way to vet a new member ? I agree we shoudl try and keep them out but I am not sure how new members could be vetted...I would suggest asking for proof of membership for BASC or another similar organisation but I am sure antis are also members simply to sh!t stir and cause trouble...Could also make donations compulsory as that may put them off but may also lose genuine members if they don't have payPal etc... I think we will just have to put up with them until summer comes a

I would kill for a pup bred that way! wish they had been bred 6 months later, i would snatch a pup straight off ya then. If you could, could you put the odd post up of how the pups progress (i assume your keeping one back for yourself)? Are they just rabbit dogs or do they do other stuff as well? simple yes or no will do if you dont want to go into too much detail, pm if prefer? How much beddy and bull is in the pups exactly? Just asking questions out of curiosity and to hopefully help you along with interest in them. best of luck

Ive been a member on this site for a while now, dont know anyone else on this site or owt like that and rarely put up a thread on my days hunting, not a member of BASC or the CA and havnt got paypal so i dont donate. So judging by whats been said i rekon i must be an anti! .............Bolloks! Theres reasons for all of the above, and i bet i get out more than alot of folks on here. Sticking at least one in on the shoot, two if we can get enough pipe. Would rather use pot than plastic, asked around and i can't seem to get my hands on any. Anyone got any suggestions? Also i was speaking to a mate about them and he was told by one of his digging mates to use the top of a wheelie bin for the bed, anyone else do the same?

sub 3 inch, non locking blade is legal without any reason what so ever. I have a knife like this for everyday use and for most airgunner's needs it would do fine. However i do prefer a sheath knife with a good 4 inch blade which i carry on my belt whenever im out in the countryside or working. When of out in the morning shooting or whatever i always stop at the paper shop for usual snickers/redbull etc and the knife is taken out the sheath and left in the glove box. Just think and use your head and dont start getting it out in public and you should be fine. Having a good knife on me saved

Find yourself a second hand Beretta AL390, bloody good guns. I got mine for 300 quid, few knocks as expected but still solid and reliable. Ive put 28gram clay cartridges through it as well as 52 gram fox cartridges (although i mainly use 36gram BBs), does the lot, the only trouble i had was a shitty batch of eley highflyers a while ago but that was the cartridges not the gun.

i dont think scent carries in water does it ? Yep, guarantee that, water holds scent better than dry ground. yeah but how would they sniff if they did they would surely drown ? lol, the water carries the scent in the form of insoluble(sp) substances like oils which are carried on the surface of the water, these slowly vapourise into the air where they can be 'sniffed'. Like beeing able to smell a petrol spillage -

Theres going to be far more knowledgeable people than me to comment on this but with respect to which direction the mink are most likely caught, could it be becuase the mink 'work' the river against the flow becuase water holds scent well? So by working against the flow, scent will be literally hitting them in the face as apposed to going away. Like a dog working into the wind.... ?? -
They are vermin mate but dont say your dog was off the lead cause in public places yo aint realy suposed to have your dog off the lead Its pretty simple, only rabbits and rats are allowed to be hunted with dogs, but there are loopholes of course and 'accidents' happen

Killed first young today, dug to three fist size rabbits so thats my season over. Just use the air rifles now to keep the ferrets fed and control the rabbits where needed
