I'm just THAT 'exciting'.... not far if you get to mine and travel down with me ----few of us from this sort of area might get a bus up .... if all the dates fit for me I've just spoke to Scott and I can't say for sure now but that sounds good Stig.

The fecking search function has been giving me grief recently and whenever I do use it it never gives all the threads. It must archive ones past a certain date? Feck it, just find it useful with other networking type sites, thought it might be on here. LOL

LOL, it depends whether you believe the official line or not, I suspect you don't. It all boils down the our dealings in the middle east doesn't it. We did this, they didn't like it, we carried on regardless, they decided to get lairy, we invaded their homeland. There have been many books written on the history of that region. I fully expect to get shot to shit by you lot for this suggestion. I find the search facility on here a bit of a pain in the arse. With hashtaging becoming more universal through the internet is it possible to add something like that to this site? So if you click a #17hmr or #collielurcher etc it'll produce a list of all posts/threads with that hashtag? Also, thinking about it would it be possible to have an @ function in the same light as the # one? So if you want to notify people of a post or thread or whatever just type @BornHunter and I'd get a pop up directing me to it? Ju

There was recently a news article based on a report done on how effective our prison system is at dealing with extremist Islamists. The upshot of it was that it's shite, they are such fundamentalists that they rarely change their views no matter the reasoning or prison time, the vast majority will always be a threat. Lab, can't you get a credit card? Just get a grand limit and just stick ya diesel on it and pay it off every pay day. That's what I did a year before I applied for a mortgage. You should be able to get a credit card with a low limit mate.

It's because people with a lot of (good) credit to their name have a history of paying it back and earning their creditors money. It don't matter how much debt you're in, if you have a history of paying on time they'll bite your hands off to give you more.. I was about to say that Malt. They may have heeps of debt but as long as they are handling it well and not missing payments then they are going to be grade A people for more credit.

If we'd had no immigration our population might have actually declined. Think our birth rate used to be 1.6 or lower. P.S if we killed everyone over 40 like in Logan's run we'd be sorted. But you're missing the point here, the native british population has remained fairly static (minor growth) for years with an unregulated child policy. There isn't a problem here. Anyway why should we adopt that policy when it's not our population spiralling out of control? I'm sure I read somewhere that generally when a population reaches a certain level of society the population tends to plateau, as ours has done. Lincolnshire was a Grammar hotspot, I was too strong willed and stubborn to take my eleven plus and my folks wouldn't force me. LOL. But I like the concept. That said how many kids get into Grammar schools off the back of private tuition and not through natural ability? Comprehensive/Grammar argument. Did you take out a student loan mate? I'd bet there's not many people who come from poor backgrounds fancy starting their career £30,000 odd in debt.. We should nurture our brightest irrespective of social background IMO.. A family member of mine is with a girl who is attempting uni for the third time. Bright enough girl but she's a doctors daughter and she's a bit of an entitled so and so and bone idle. Her father has put her though uni each time at great personal cost but each time she's jacked it in.. Why should someone like her get opportunity after opportunity just because her family can

Just like to add that under the new loan repayment system the student doesn't have to pay a penny back untill they're earning over 20k I believe and the interest rates are as low as you could hope for, better than anything you'll find at a bank. So, how exactly does that stop intelligent young kids from poor backgrounds educating themselves? The only time I'd really actually give money to students as opposed to lend is for subjects that are in desperate demand but not getting enough quality student applying.
