I was on the way to the gym when I nipped in to vote, mind went blank when asked where I live, lol. It's not like I haven't done it all several times before but I think I just get caught up in the anticipation of change and moment. I came out feeling absolutely pumped! Crossed the f**k out of LEAVE, lol, got my money's worth! This is what it's all about for me, why I'm so passionately certain. It's about my vote having the biggest impact possible. Keeping our democratic system as accountable and functional as possible for the British people.

LOL, I'm probably gonna get flack for this but does anyone else get a buzz when voting? It's just one of those 'greater than me' things that really is a pleasure to be a part of....... even if I do think the whole democracy thing is totally f****d. Ha! Maybe it's because I've only voted in a handful of elections, it's still novel?

This referendum doesn't have anything to do with the ECHR. We'll still be signed up to it even after Brexit. It's entirely seperate to the EU. After reading the comments of a former MI6 Director that suggested otherwise I had a quick google into this myself. Although you are correct that the ECHR is a separate entity, being a signatory to it is a condition for EU membership. Furthermore I believe that the EU itself is now able to sign up to the ECHR as though it was a nation state, whereas before it couldn't because it was not considered such. Edited: just realised how old this thr

North Korea Says Missiles Can Hit Us Bases.
Born Hunter replied to DogFox123's topic in General Talk
It's all very well having a nuclear weapon and a delivery system capable of a strike but there's a vast difference between being able and being a genuine threat. The US missile defence system would in all probability swat it like a fly. He'll have then succeeded in pissing off the most powerful and capable military force this planet has ever seen. As usual, it's just ridiculous. -
Unfortunately a significant number within my peer group seem to be remainers. The EU really have a strangle on science and research issues. I have a bit of a reputation for 'passionate debate' and non liberal views, lol, so not many openly challenge my views which don't help. I'm in an odd position of allegedly living in the most eurosceptic region of the UK but belong to one of the most europhile demographics.

Fair play mate, there's money to be made from that kind of graft and drive. I've been in my house for nearly four years and only really just started properly decorating! LOL. I f***ing hate working on the house.

Whatever they're called, it's outrageous that citizens are being socially punished when not found guilty of a damn thing by our judicial system! What sort of society does that breed? A safe one?........ bollocks!

Many folks are going to be voting in because they see the EU as politically better than a Conservative government. I'd call those people traitors. Hate the Torys, vote remain, that's fine but vote remain with the intention of undermining the British democratic system because you don't like the result of it is literally using foreign power to subvert the will of your country! It's treason. Yep, we need to take hold of this country again and sort it out from the inside. Tbh most folk who hate the Tories around my area are voting out just like I am. Exactly, great. Just so I'm c

Well that's the point wilf they ain't never going to change back under remain. so what options does that leave nearly half the country who arnt happy about being in EU? ...there's only ukip ... if its as close as the polls predict then politically we're in for a bumpy ride whatever the result on Thursday . Well, I've found myself looking at New Zealand quite a bit recently. Not in a dramatic way, but just looking. Something like 6% of our population, belting country and climate, hugely pro hunting, anti authority, no nonsense, drive on the left and you can own an AR-15! LOL

Along those lines, I think we have to look to the US currently and learn something from them. The likes of Trump is considered to be a bit of a radical and he has only found success from within the established system (the Republican party). IMO he totally failed in his previous attempt as the Reform Party nominee due to it being a minority party out of the established system (Rep's & Dem's). It'd be a nigh impossible task to topple the two party system from the outside, as UKIP and the Lib Dems etc have tried. The SNP succeeded in Scotland but I think that's a different matter. IMO cha

Before 2004, net EU migration to the UK averaged around 10,000 a year. 2004 saw the enlargement of the EU, with 10 countries joining: Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia. As a result, net migration grew to around 100,000 per year. From 2009, the economic crisis affecting many EU states such as Ireland, Spain, Italy and Greece has led many to seek jobs abroad. In 2014, Bulgaria and Romanian citizens also gained the right to work in the UK. These factors pushed net migration to 185,000 in 2015, the highest recorded level. htt

The assailant was found battered and bleeding washed up on a North Sea shore with coal dust marking his wounds! LOL, in all seriousness the old boy deserves the GC!

I'll add to that, threats of the EU punishing us beyond what their legal framework forces just makes me want to grit my teeth, stand firm and suffer. That's what being British means to me, it's an unwavering fearless attitude of doing what is right and having the courage to take that step for the rest to follow. My ancestors stood in the face of greater tyranny and gambled far more than I am for that cause. To believe what I do and vote any other way would be cowardice and I'd have no right to associate with them as a Briton.

Cracking closing speech by the Telegraph! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/opinion/2016/06/20/vote-leave-to-benefit-from-a-world-of-opportunity/ For me, this is about retaining a more accountable democracy, independence, identity and security! It's about not ceding our sovereignty, our right to politically self determine, for short term prosperity. Very simply, to remain will be the final nail in the coffin of the countries of Europe maintaining their status as nation states, the future will be one of a single nation state of Europe, a United States of Europe. f**k the politicians promises t

As a nation we managed to extirpate ALL large predators in the UK with hounds and fecking spears but we're to believe that in the age of full bore rifles, thermal imaging, trail cams and drones etc not one person can grass a single one of these mythical cats.... right'o! Probably a simple explanation to that....

It might be an orchestrated attack yes.... It might also be a totally random result of heightened emotion due to the current political climate. It all strikes me as being really ineffective considering the risk if the worse was to be true? A nice bomb attack by an ultra nationalist outfit on the houses of parliament would be way more effective in swaying the public. Some looneytune offing his MP with a home made gun and a kitchen knife... nah every rational person will see it for just that, not a threat of nationalist terrorism if leaving the EU.

I agree, that's why he thinks we should leave Europe. He wants WW3 because he knows him and his mad scientist mates will all be safe from the nukes and subsequent mutants in their Giant submarine/underground city. So transparent Actually I want the gamma radiation, I have plans on developing a super power and becoming a super villain! No underground ark of the enlightened for me!I see you've given this a lot of thought, what's your name gonna be? Depends on my power.... Obviously! And no I'm not taking suggestions. LOL

LOL, that's nice. I think I wouldn't register on anyone's radar, but it amuses me that some folks think they know me better.

Hypothetically, let's say you are a major player in world politics and have a lot of sway in who joins you and your mates on the ark, you ain't gonna exclusively take a bunch of your useless but strategical genius accomplices are you! You're going to fill it with the best, brightest and most valuable of society, to give you and your scheming mates the best chance of survival! In such an event the human species would find itself entirely composed of enlightened and educated people, the sort of people that would give true democracy the best chance! The sort of people that see how letting bile an
