f***ing hell suppose I had better call someone a c**t then before things get too civilised and we start getting intimate! LOL LOL

TC I don't want to paint myself as some philosophical Saint, I'm as instinctive and emotional as the next man, but I'm also a thinker and able to see that sometimes what I really want to do ain't necessarily the right thing to do. You don't have to agree with me mate, but you've given me enough respect to listen and think a bit about where I'm coming from and speak a few kind words. That's a win for me. Atb

Exactly my thinking mate. I don't suppose you know which model your mates vortex were? Viper maybe? Good point on the after sales service, it'd be something I'd have to research if seriously considering them. They are a bit cheaper than Sussex' suggestion of nikon. 650 is second hand leica money and a bit much really. But a valued suggestion nonetheless.

Poor WILF, no fecker cares about his opinion LOL, I think he's had a guts full of being 'THL's man of the moment' on here this week! We're both toxic now. Au contraire mon cherie. Some people admire others when they have an ethical stand against a majority. It shows a character sadly lacking in others. TC I think you just have to be true to yourself. Sometimes that means nodding in agreement, sometimes it means speaking in opposition. So long as it's kept gentlemanly. Not everybody has to agree, but it's only right to show due respect.

If THL was lord of the flies, you'd be piggy I had to Google that! LOL, I'm flattered.... LOL

Not that I need the support of others to have strength in my convictions but to be accurate I'm not alone in my belief. The evidence is only a few posts up!

You're forgiven BH. Thank you! I'll sleep much better now.

I feel half guilty for posting this as I'm sure it's been done to death but well the forum is hardly buzzing with activity so f**k it. If we put aside the obvious choices Swaro and Leica what's the stalking fraternities thoughts? I quite fancy Vortex. I'm seeing them about a bit in the hands of various folks in the media but not exactly able to sit and trial all these brands and models. Anybody any experience? Vortex Viper, Vulture, Talon? I've two lines of thought on this, other than expense. On the one hand it's a standard belief that "you need performance dawn and dusk!", on t

I'm going to assume that's target at me? If so, where have I said that anyone has to accept the result of the justice system? Have I not quite clearly stated otherwise? It wasn't aimed at you actually. It was aimed at people who think everything is hunky dory and as long as the people in power say something is so, we have to go along with it. So put your handbag away. Well forgive me for thinking so, considering I couldn't recall anybody on this thread saying the above. No handbag, not sure where in my post you inferred aggression! LOL

Don't get me wrong BH I do not believe for one minute you support anything else but hunting. But I will tell you what I support, I will support any man or woman that would beat those two pricks to within an inch of their life everyday, regardless of what the judicial system has to say. atb ….. Del Del, I totally sympathise with that. I'd hope you understand that my instinctive response to all this wasn't any different to yours, the majority of peoples. Whatever you believe is your right and quite frankly no more or less valid than my own. I'm not trying to take the moral high gro

Supportive of who or what? LOL. My entire argument is one against support! Against support of vigilantism and mob justice! But of course that means by default that I support these two lads I suppose? That's really weak logic and frankly ignorant of what I have explicitly said. I'm hardly under the belief that I am in the majority here, but I'm certainly not the only one....... the only one stupid enough to debate this, guilty. LOL

So when the system fails to deliver we the public should just bury our heads in the sand in the hope that these pair of shithouses do not reoffend? Me personally, ( note personally not public opinion ) I would like to think that these two get a beating so bad that next time they see a dog they will cross the road or walk in the other direction. Nothing more nothing less because they deserve no better, mark my words sooner or later somebody somewhere will set a dog on these two, a dog that will remind them of what they done, and I hope that also gets filmed and put on the internet. Thats wh

They were found guilty in a court of law,and you can see it with your own eyes,so no question of their guilt. A good hiding would be the best thing for them, considering the judge could not give proportunate punishment. Next time a case like this comes up, a judge may hopefully lock the perpatrator up for their own safety and to quel public anger. I'm aware that they were found guilty in a court of law. I haven't a problem with the verdict. It's the mob justice I have a problem with. It's people deciding what is justice based almost entirely on their emotional reaction that I have a

well being (un-emotional ) or naive , these 2 pieces of scum needed or need physical punishment given to them why, not because revenge , but to show people who do these type of things, that if you inflict pain and suffering , you get it back. stickin jail or banning them from keeping animals means jack shit to these type of people. But cowards like these like these, would deff think twice about ever doing it again , if they received similar punishment fact, thats why they act like they do because there cowards its as simple as that Writing "fact" after an opinion doesn't s

Oh to f**k with impartial justice, lets all join the mob and let emotionally driven revenge and vigilantism take it's place! After all these lads are guilty of the crime of murder, everyone agrees! Life for a life! Quick before they turn to fiddling kids! And no, I do not support what they have done or look lightly on it or even really give a f**k what happens to them. But I do care about becoming the victim of my own ignorance and emotional naivety.

I wont even reply to that other idiot.I've done a lot of hunt terrier work Born Hunter and any Huntsman will tell you that one good fox is better than several bad ones. Very very rare for a pack to blank in a days hunting. I popped into a neighbour today to say hello (and drink a few glasses of Brandy) and when I got home there a while ago I checked my phone and had a miss-call. On my voicemail was a message from an old woman out the road, out of breath, shouting down the phone to me that the fox was after been in her yard, killed a few hens and was now crossing the garden with a hen in it's

I've got to say lads, this is a truly fascinating and insightful thread! It really demonstrates how in touch and knowledgeable countrymen are with their quarry. I was particularly intrigued by this theory that a dominant vixen will keep others out of heat and allow them to kick about until next spring, which fits perfectly with my experience. I find that where keepers are understanding of the hunts, the hunts are perfectly understanding of the keepers! This hatred between hunting folk and shooting folk only exists when one or both are ignorant and selfish towards the other. Cracking th

Agreed this is becoming embarrassing. I'm sure you both are too het up to care what anybody else thinks but I think I speak for everyone when I say the pair of you come across as equally childish! What either of you think you are achieving by continuing this public battle is beyond reason or sanity! What's even worse is that you are both continuing to use another mans name in your pathetic public battle. For the love of god, give up! I dare say that the man that walks away will get more respect for it! No ifs, no buts, no explanations, just start acting like grown f***ing adults!

Some of you are highly conditioned drinking athletes! LOL, f**k me I reckon what some of you do habitually would nigh'on kill me! I've never been a drinker but recently I'll have a cider or two socially. Hate the taste of anything else really and to be honest I hate that loss of edge feeling it gives, if that makes sense. I can't really imagine what it must be like to have an addiction and it ain't my place to judge. It's funny really the response you get from folks, especially in the hunting/shooting world where obviously drinking is part and parcel of the culture. Always viewed with

You must have led a sheltered life my friend if laughing at someone's comments in derision is childish. And this place definitely isn't for you. Lol Thanks for clearing up your voice of authority, you've got a student loan. Laughing in derision is childish, and achieves nothing. I can handle it, I find it amusing as it's really a response to a complete lack of argument. But nonetheless it's childish. Surely there's a degree of mutual respect expected in a debate? I didn't want an argument or debate. I posted my opinion and you commented saying "people don't know the crack" insinuating that y

But again, so what? You think it's not worth it. Look at the situation more generally, clearly plenty of med students do think its worth it, otherwise they'd have used their academic abilities to pursue another career. If we face a shortfall of med students and it's clear to conclude that is as a result of too low a starting salary then I agree it should be raised. But as things stand is that true? Other than folks believing that they deserve more with little reason other than 'they do'. We do have a shortage of British DoctorsOkay, now you've touched on a more complex point. Assuming you're
