My first lurcher was in 85,,,I was 17 ,,,,at 1 year old it got ran over,,,,my next lurcher I bought a month or so later,,,,got to 10 month old ,,,,got ran over,,,I then got a year old bitch,,that I had for 13 years,,,but a few months after I got that bitch,,,I got a pup from Hancock ,,,11 month old,,,pts through distemper,,, a few month went by and I got another lurcher pup,,,got to just over a year old,,,,and was killed out lamping went over a cliff ,,, So there you go,,,in about 5 years,, I lost 4 dogs,,but you got to carry on a learn from your mistakes,,,
