how do you have sentimental feelings for a wood chipper......lol...I get it with an old car...but wood chipper

I don't think it makes any real difference to be fair.....I just think in my mind that bit of bend it preferable to being brittle .....as for hard ground its my opion there better ....believe it or not they go in very easy.....yeh 7.5 inch is long....and I did think about chopping and inch off but it made my toes curl....
-
agreed...its a good idea for making sure you don't leave any......

thought some of you might like to see my way of attaching a band to a peg to keep your net neat and tidy.....now I cant claim total credit ... a few years ago I was talking to leeview about the old way of putting rubber band over net ...then over your wrist when you set the net....like most of us I could never be doing with a wrist full of laggy bands ......but I always liked the idea of the nets being neat and tidy.... so over the years I tried a few things ..like attaching a band to a peg with a small screw and a washer....but that was a right faff.... any way after my chat wi

I don't think you can judge the hole breed on that them two dogs to be fair busher....some of them other clips are by far better dogs
-
yeh not all dogs are the same ...im not trying to knock the breed as from what I have seen on film I like them..... as you say you cant just show the good runs
-
not sure if you know.....but if she hasn't took and you go for it again next time she breaks down.....you can buy online ovulation strips....its just a strip of paper you insert slightly in to the bitch ..it changes colour when there at there most fertile....and if its possible with travel ect....then mate here 2-3 times over 4-5 days
-
i dont think that was as good as the other films.....those two never really got on terms with that hare proper.....at 3 mins they were coming to an end ...then resighted it ....as it went behind the farm....it doubled back for some reason....then I thought it got in to the hay bales....if they did catch it....wich seems to be suggested at the end with the owner holding the hare .....then they got it by sheer luck......
-
think he was mate.... my first lurcher was off him when I was a kid......beddi..whipp..grey type thing

cant beet the 10z in my opinion .....I have made nets out of all kinds of material spun polly...hemp...polished cotton ...barber twine...ect ect ....but like you I had some 10z of nettmaker I think it was ...about 8-10 year ago.....great nets they are.....I ended up buying 200 yrd of sheet netting in 10z and when ever I get the urge go and braid a few on to rings
-
this time next year katch.....your bitch will be doing this at shearing time....
-
would have been good to see.....one of the top names like lucky or that nuttal dog that won the 64 matches....was it snowy ...or that dancer ....see how they would have faired out there....like you bill I think ours are the best.....but It would have been great to see all the same
-
to be fiar though bill....the spiks could say the same about our dogs.....se how uk coursing dogs faired against there hare.....would be intresting to see ...the Spanish hare Iberian hare and our European hare are sub species ....both a little different them... Spanish hares are running at some lick and run a lot of straight lines and them galgos are fair shifting not to mention the very dry hard ground in some instances...
-
not a bad gundog either.....a few birds shot and retrieved ....of course the hares were shot to stay with in the law.......
-
another...

been looking through my old posts looking for some pics of Tara ....who some will remember ..she was 1/4 kelpie x 3/4 grew.... this pic was from back in 08 ....these rabbits were lamped out in lincs on some big flat land I had the perm on at the time.....although she wernt perfect I do miss the little bitch...
-
no ..I like the old gal....shes at least 7 and it might be 8....and this summer she never came in season..so she has been left in with the two hobs......funny though this last season she killed in a few times and stayed for ages.......

i can only really agree with micky on this one....whenever I'm out for a good days ferreting the spade is out a good bit....don't get me wrong theres the odd days when it might only get used a few times ....but for the most part on the good days you can bet theres a dig on every warren.... if your never digging theres rabbits being left underground.....and that's a fact....cant believe I just used that word... that said ...theres nowt wrong with skimming around with a ferret that wont stick ....bolting bits here and there.....I have a little jill like this....happy to sit in your poc
