when i was 18...we moved 10 or so miles to a new village just outside mansfield ....my new mates used the word " bride" meaning girlfriend.... so instead of saying is that your new girlfriend......they would say is that your new bride.... i had only ever herd the term meaning married ...f***ing weird they called ferrets monkeys.....and mice moggys......where i had moved from cats were moggys not mice...

getting the ton is not easy everything has to be on your side....the logistics as well can be hard....all the drop offs and humping bunnies is hard graft

the thing is ...in general rabbits up the dales can be easier.....the fact that there are more than most other places helps with the bigger bags... now my old dog that was pts in the summer at 11.....i rated this bitch as the best ive owned at lamping rabbits.....her first proper night out lamping was actualy down in suffolk on a heath....where they are notoriously hard to catch....she had 15 .... the thing is dogs should be able to catch anywhere within reason ...and whilst i spend most of my spare time hunting up north...the dogs still catch down here on this flat arable land with

ive done the ton ....i think 3 times.....everytime with 2 of us out....so not that many i have however done 50 plus many times .... the best ive done solo with one dog 63

as for blewits .....they call em blue stalks round here in the midlands ....very common....my mates would often pick tons of them whilst ferreting....often making money from selling them rather than the rabbits...

im going to tell you something that happens all the time....people forget.... done it myself....dog hardly missed a rabbit last night....oh yeh how many ...oh only 3 or 4....there the one you remember... theres nearly always a few you forget.... terrain is also key....as trev says ...the tops are different to the short fields on the river bottoms.....a vast difference

how would you know what he does or says...you have said many times its not a sport that interests you...or he's a person that interests you... it may surprise you that he is always thanking people for the opportunity he has within the sport no clue as to what you mean his racial instincts...or how I have defended them what ever they may be
