  1. either thats a small pig or you have very large dogs! what is the average size of a pig over your way, erik?
  2. does anyone know if there are any good dvds or videos about working bull breeds? either hunting or cattle work etc? i cant seem to find anything on film, but there are a couple of good books around.
  3. bollocks! thats pissed all over my theory then!!! "not much in the brain department" - sounds like a boxer! mines got nowt between his ears and would go all day if i let him! your boxer comes off worse after a session with a gwp? i had no idea they were that hard, mine got into a fight with a local gwp and gave it a good hiding. i suppose its a working/not working thing as the only test this animal gets is a ball being thrown a few times. your gsp? mines just a regular UB - ugly b*****d! kaiserremy; are you british? it could be that the strains in different countries differ in size and men
  4. a nice looking boxer you've got yourself mate. shame about the pup though eh? i think three different types of boxer are starting to emerge, maybe its just me but im starting to notice a difference between hunting strains, schutzhund strains and show strains. mine is a shtzhund bred dog, he has a very deep chest, massive jumping ability but unfortunately a slightly undershot jaw. hes got good hunting ability, but also good fighting ability whcich he likes to flaunt! mines also a slighter build by the looks of it. IMO the show strains are all bollocks! is it just me or has your boxer got a MASS
  5. ive heard alot of mixed opinions about this breed, some swear by them and others dont seem to like them much. kiwi; was yours from a hunting background? im led to beleive that the scott lines are the hunters and the johnsons the heavy, slower type. have you any pictures of your boxer? as far as ive found im one of the rare few who work a boxer, in the uk anyway. is an am bull much bigger than a dogo? edited too add, hows that airedale pup you got a while back going?
  6. sounds like a useful dog for bigger quarry, not really ideally suited to british quarry though? i know sod all about them so any info would be good. as far as i can see there are two main varieties; scott lines(performance) and the johnson type which im led to beleive is a bigger, heavier sort.
  7. i have to say ive never heard of a dogo attack, let alone known someone who experienced it. i know people who have been attacked by; goldies, labs, gsd's, pointers, the list goes on ~ my point is that the ban in place is biast, unjust, and completely lacking in any sort of sense. thanks for the info and pics guys just thought id add as a sidenote, have any of you encountered an ambull hunting?
  8. 88" series 3 landy, it is my pride and joy! does 17 to the gallon though. and a 110" safari
  9. no brekkie for me today, got up and had to clean up vomited up spare ribs off my floor. after that i didnt realy fancy a full english.
  10. ive got a young retriever that im bringing on at the moment. you're going to have to be prepared to wait if you want a good worker ~ i searched high and low for 8 months before sourcing my little bitch. if i were you id look for field dogs as opposed to trials winners. JMO though
  11. anyone know of a foot pack in cornwall?
  12. shit i had no idea dogos were banned in nz. what other breeds are? you mentioned british bull breeds, are you talking about staffs? i didnt know they were used in nz...looks as though ive got abit of catching up to do!
  13. lol, i take it you dont rank the pitbull too highly then? didnt you breed a litter a while back?
  14. good question, kiwi ~ one for you
  15. if your genuine, welcome to the site, its always good to have new members and new interest. as far as foxing is concerened i've never heard of a mini bull terrier being used but ~ why not, make the most of what you've got! get her started on rats at 8 months ish and by the time shes old enough to work other quarry(if possible)you will have learned a shitload got any pcs? how big is she?

  20. nice one mate good pictures 700 pigs?! i dont know many people who have seen that many foxes ~ let alone their dogs running them! well done, sounds like she had a good life
  21. greyhounds are quicker off the mark and as the name suggests, deerhounds were bred to chase deer, so with that in mind never needed to be exceptionally quick off the mark but have good stamina and endurance. i think a x between these breeds would be too slow and heavy. just my £.02
  22. dammit you're an ugly b*****d if i ever saw one! nice dog tough, looks like its made the grade
  23. once again great pictures kiwi just one question ~ "some of our duckponds?!" implying you have more? shit me mate you must be well off!!! thanks again for the pics
