  1. Hi all, Just wondering what topic do you look at first when you log onto the forums. I always go straight for general talk to see what madness is going on at the moment. I then make my through running dogs, terriers, ferrets and firearms. I also like looking at the wildlife photography section to see what wild and wonderful things people see on a daily basis. Someday I'll figure how to use that digital camera gathering dust in the corner!!!
  2. I think it's important that people should read this press release from Badminton Horse Trials, unfortunately 2 horses did die but they were both freak accidents and were in no way caused by bad riding, bad course building or any kind of abuse. Even if your not involved in horses, remember that some of these militant anti types will try and stop horse racing and eventing as well if they had their way, so it's important that we all stand up for each other. EVENT PRESS RELEASE 18 - 5th May 2007 Horse fatalities Sadly two horses have died during cross-country day at The Mitsub
  3. I was there on Saturday, unfortunately was late arriving so didn't get to walk the course and had to watch the horses jumping from the back of a ten deep crowd. Here's a tip, the next time you have to get up at 2.30 to catch a flight, make sure you're in bed before 1.15. Christ, I was knackered, but I couldn't get over the number of lurchers and border terriers that I saw, must have been hundreds of each.
  4. I was a Master of a pack of beagles but not anymore. I'm still involved, but haven't got the time anymore to commit, but I love it when I can get out.
  5. I totally agree with Millet in his last post. I use email and IM's extensively, and I've constantly had problems with people misinterpreting the "tone" of what I've said, because, as Millet said they can't hear a tone of voice or see your facial expressions. So, give someone the benefit of the doubt, and don't automatically assume that way they are saying is an insult.
  6. Perfect timing SNAPSHOT, I'm flying to Badminton Horse Trials on Saturday and was wondering whether to bring my wellies or not. Job sorted.

    Time travel?

Darkness doesn't have it's own set of physical properties like light does. Darkness is merely an absence of light, if that makes sense.
  8. I wonder has he ever been on this site and read these reviews. That's gotta be painful !! Almost as painful as reading that shite !!
  9. This is all strictly about hunting in the South of Ireland. Firstly, you need permission from any farmer to hunt hares or anything else, otherwise you're trespassing. You do not need written permission specifically to hunt hares. Secondly, hares are classed as game and therefore can only be hunted in the game season i.e. 1st November to 31 January although the Masters of Beagles Association are usually granted an extension until the end of February. Thirdly, the majority of Gardai and Wildlife Officers haven't a clue about the laws and rules and they make them up as they go along.
  10. Very nice!! Even grumpier looking than the last photo, if that's possible. I think that's a border thing, mines the same, grumpy looking little sod.
  11. Have a new whippet x greyhound and have put a lot of effort into teaching him not to chase cats. Went ferreting last weekend, in with ferret, heard a squeal and a thump, got the pup interested and out bolted a black cat off down the field with a young lurcher in hot pursuit. Luckily we managed to call him off before he caught it. Bloody typical, every time a rabbit bolts he's either looking the other way or licking his balls. We bolt a cat and he's straight on it.
  12. My Chemical Romance - Black Parade Not really into chart stuff, but like this one, very similar to The Wall by Pink Floyd in the sense that it's quite operatic.

    ENGLISH BURDS

I'd just like to say goodbye to everybody. I'm moving to Sweden!
  14. I would dearly love to read that, but just for the laugh. But there's no way in hell that I'd spend good money on it. Here's a theory, Sean Frain is really a comedian like Ricky Gervais did with David Brent and he's purposely writing the worst possible crap he can think of, and we'll all look back on this in a few years and call him a comic genius. At least, that would be my excuse, if I wrote any of that shite.

    Hobbies

Show jumping course designer. More semi-professional than a hobby, as I get paid for it and it takes up so much of my time, but I enjoy it.
  16. Grumpy looking little sod, but very nice all the same. All the best with him.
  17. Jammy bollix! I'm presently sitting down to a hearty breakast of stale pretzels and coffee with no milk. Had a busy weekend and the fridge is empty.
  18. Glad to hear it, I had something similar last summer, my terrier got onto the road and ended up with his pelvis broken in three places and a broken front leg as well.
  19. Hey Guys, The good news is that, before Steve Irwin tragically died, he had started to train a replacement. http://www.evtv1.com/player.aspx?itemnum=6543&aid=26
  20. I was born and bred in Rosslare and there has never been a horse fair in the last 30 years and I haven't heard of there being one anytime soon.
  21. I have 1 hob and 3 jills, all polecats. All 2 year olds. I don't work them half as often as I should or would like to but I hope to get out more from next season.
  22. Looks like clear silicone sealant to me. Have the plumbers been around your way lately? I'm only joking, I'm sure you've already ruled that out.
  23. Apparently the most important invention of the last hundred years is the flushing toilet !!
  24. Well done Frank !! You're fecked now, you'll have caught the bug and now you'll jus HAVE to upgrade your rifle and get a full deer licence. Oh well, the mortgage can be paid another time, and the family can live on venison.
  25. You can still talk to people when you appear offline. I always initially log on as appear offline/invisible and then go fully online if the coast is clear. Some days you're just not in the mood to talk to certain people.
