  1. Have a look here: http://www.caves.org/member/mfraley/lamp.htm Seems to be the same type.
  2. Hi Hannah, thank you for your kind comments. None of my dogs are at public stud, for the most part they are for my use only, however if you are interested in a dog of similar breeding, providing your bitch is KC registered, has correct dentition, a good temperament and is suitably bred, I could put you in touch with somebody. I will say though, the dog I am thinking of does NOT work at all and is a show dog only. So he may not be what you are looking for. Hi Barbus. Thanks. I love the oldies, like grumpy old men they are! Hi Zap. Lovely chap!! Is he a blue, cant quite tell from
  3. I dread putting pics up anymore due to the flack, however I thought Id give it another go! and put it in this section too rather than the Terrier one as I didnt want to cause any arguments!! This is "Orey" my young Border. Doing well for me now but is hard work. Uses his nose excellently now and can track injured Deer etc really well. Finds and retrieves well and is very consistent although just lately is "munching" Birds after a couple were not dead when he picked them up! Needs working on. Loves ratting and "retrieving" Squirrels, Im quite pleased really. Th
  4. Id recommend you use the "sports" setting at first and get used to how the camera feels and works. In time, switch to AV and TV which will control the aperture and shutter speed better and enable you to take some superb shots. The 55-200mm has a built in panning detector, so following moving subjects (dogs etc) should be fairly easy for you. Try AV setting for still stuff, see how you get on, you can control the background blur with this making the stuff you photograph stand out, great for dog portraits too.
  5. What ever you do dont drop it. you cheered me up! Nice choice Lepus, what lenses did you get and what type of photography to you want to do? \ill try to help if I know a little more. Dawn.
  6. I had 4 Ferrets and I have a Belgian Hare that had free run of the garden. Whilst the Ferrets werent bothered about it hopping round, when it got close to the pen, they were there in a flash!!
  7. Thats actually quite good news, I thought it would be much worse from what you said. With or without the toe, im sure he will be fine.
  8. Ok, joking aside. I don't think he is sexually frustrated to the point of suffering so I don't think castration would do him a favour even though some people say it does prolong the life of dogs. As for nieve and anthropormophic, had to look up nieve and could only find, nieve - "clenched fist" (northern and Scot. dialect), but I do know he's not a human and neither does he think like one so he's probably quite happy not covering any bitches. However, from a more selfish point I would personally quite like to have a puppy from him because I do feel there are a few good qualities he could
  9. There is no way of knowing how much it will be that will depend on how much damage has been done. You will have to pay a consultaion fee first then treatment is on top of that.
  10. Sorry if I sound harsh, but you shouldnt have the dog if you cant affors to care for it properly, do the right thing, get him to a vet!
  11. Maine Coons are leggy cats with long coats, I doubt you'd mistake one for a "big cat"
  12. What the Border? Nooooo didnt you know they cant work! Pathetic and repulsive activity, bully boys gaining pleasure from an animals intention and purposeful pain, sad really.
  13. Retained testicles are an inherited genetic fault, so your dog should not be bred from, and of course inform the breeder of what they are breeding! As far as your dog is concerned, dont worry about it untill the dog is about 14mths or so, there is every chance the other will drop by itself up till that time. If not by then, have it removed, wither just the retained one or both.
  14. What? you saying these species arent already here?? Show me unrefuted PROOF of them living here now and I will believe it, not till then.
