  1. I can explain, it isnt a Bull grey cross, something else is in there!! No way is it genetically possible for the dogs coat to be like that!

  5. Blimey, not used to seeing that here!! It was when you said it was more in shock than injured that made me think the Cat wasnt intending to kill it. I had a cat that only ever caught and killed Squirrels, same thing you describe, two holes on the neck, nothing else. The cats I have now are all confined to my property alone.
  6. Cats will usually only taken small kittens, tey dont often take a bigger Rabbit, or not that I have seen, many Myxi ones though. I have a Belgian Hare here, I keep him as I dont want the Terriers chasing or persuing Rabbits. That aside, one of my cats will stalk the Rabbit, and "trip" him up like a Cheetah or big Cat would an Antelope, he then jumps on his back and holds the Rabbit by the back of its neck. 7. What you also have to consider is your neighbours. DS may be fine where he is in the middle of nowhere, but if you have neighbours theres a whole different ball game. Some dogs are VERY bad when bitches are in season, a working dog may well lose weight, go off its food, howl etc.. while the bicth is in season, not to mention the fact he may be totally useless when working at that time! 234joe is doing the responsible thing is HIS situation and he will not be contributing to the thousands of unwanted dogs there already are. Full credit to him I say.
  8. Thanks. This again was at the British Wildlife centre. I took about 20 pics in focus, but not one without a blade across it! Nice to see some of the stuff you dont see often, and native at that! There was some "not so native" though, like this one!!
  9. These things are like lightening!!
  10. Says to me Ditch they didnt know what they were doing. You, a stranger to the animal had no problem handling it, the Horse is a flight animal and its instinct will always be to run, a Dog is completely different. Nothing to do with being gelded IMO of course.
  11. Shouldnt make the slightest difference, and I understand your reasons, in your case its the responsible thing to do.
