Yep sometimes you just need a break from stuff and clear your mind. Just recently after speaking to a guy who contemplated suicide , he said after speaking with a life coach the best advice was to assess what and who is important. I then thought about this and deleted loads of phone numbers and dropped out of my shoot as realised they weren't necessary. It was like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders and from now on I only do what I want when I want ....

What is it with feet at the minute? I have just got Gout and christ its painful , I cant walk and my foot feels paralysed. Just waiting for the wife to pick up my prescription to relieve the pain and hopefully be able to walk again in a few days.

Good luck , hope the feet dont hurt too much. I'm going to have a look out too on a different farm for the other old boy I've seen 4 times but keeps evading me.

On the ground for 3.45am this morning and it was misty , but at least it was warm. Within 5 mins I glassed a buck moving down a hedge ? I managed to sneak down the side of the field and clocked him at around yds in the mist , I thought he was going to go in the cover but luckily he turned and moved a few yards closer , turned broadside and I duly dropped him on the spot ? Didnt realise that he was a real old warrior until I got up to him due to the mist , a real big body but losing condition down his spine , a good one to remove and let some young blood in .

I remember it well , what a load of rubbish it was. A lad who had never shot before apparently shot a fox at night at 300 yds off a wing mirror of the motor. Not ranged no experience and no allowance for range or wind , I could smell the BS a mile off ?

Travelled up yesterday evening to my ground on fox patrol with my mate. Promised him a fox so no pressure ? Set up on a bank of gorse where I knew there was a vixen after shooting the dog the other week. Cub calls produced nothing and so did various other calls. Eventually after half an hour or so I switched to the good old young rabbit distress and had her coming in immediately ? Muted the call at around 120 yds and that was job done. The lamping was a nightmare as there was a full moon and it was freezing ? My sticks literally snapped and fell apart , torches were playing up and even caller

Shot can still travel 300 yds and pepper the cars, not good practice and your FEO wouldnt be happy too ? If you value your SGC I would be a lot more careful where you shoot.

I wouldnt have been shooting with all that traffic in the background mate , just remember it only takes one complaint to lose the ground.

I would love to keep going back ? Going up around Peebles this season to shoot a few hopefully. They are the most challenging deer to stalk that's for sure.
