Seeing as it had stopped raining me and my mate lay up watching a likely spot for charles. Out popped this dog fox carrying a blackbird chick , I shouted to stop him and my mate dropped him at 237 yds . Murdering vermin !! Still no sign of any cubs

Out on Wed night for a look about , found this little chap in a squig trap.................... So released it to join its little mates.. Timed a fox at 9.10pm , got into position for 8.45 and hadnt been there 2 minutes when out popped this dog fox chasing rabbits ! Last night saw me at a different farm laying in wait again for charlie....... Other varmints got the better of me , so I popped a few.. After firing 3 rounds here I moved location and was rewarded with another dog fox at 10.30pm Its been a good week v

Just got back from Majorca and itching to be out with rifle , shoot captain phoned to say had seen a couple of foxes about and could I sort them before the birds come , I got lucky and dropped this dog fox at 156 yards

Seen one at Sedgefield , Co Durham. Never heard of any in Kielder though !!

Received a call from a farmer a couple of weeks back complaining about the bunnies running about , he asked if I could do anything with them. So my mate and I called to see him a couple of weeks ago and shot 41 on that occasion. Went again last night to thin out a few more , the farmer was a nice old guy who offered to chauffeur us in his Merc 4 x4 . Bagged this lot before dark............... Then we had a little walk with the lamp for an hour and ended up with 40 in total. Enjoyable evenings sport !!

Tikka T3 for me as well , excellent accuracy from a factory rifle. .243 great calibre , I have taken all 6 species of deer with it.

Only use sub sonic , nothing else.

I used to get quite a few mis fires with Eley subs ..........dont know what they are like now but dont get any mis fires with Winchester

I cant see why you are bothering either with the avian vermin , they should have been necked. If you wanted birds for an aviary I can think of better birds to acquire than these black vermin. Corvids should be culled at every opportunity !!

Hi Baldie , my mate originally had Apel mounts but the scope kept creeping , paid £125 and binned them. Now has apel top rings but Optilock bases and has no probs now.

Out at 4am on my mates ground this morning to try and get him a buck as he hasnt had one yet on his patch. I left my rifle at home , happy to glass and watch. Spotted a buck crossing from one wood to another bit of cover , a quick shot and he was bagged at 150 yards. Then we went looking for corvids , starting with this magpie at 240yards. Followed by a close carrion crow..... Then another carrion was knocked off a fence post at 120 yards dropping into a water trough.. Last chance of the morning a 233

[Every one is entitled to there views joe and i dont condem you for this but if it was target practice i was after then the cubs that were also seen that morning in another area of the moor would have been shot as well and when a farmer feels a bit uncomfortable at the amount of fox's he is seeing and wants something done then i feel obliged to grant his request otherwise i am sure he would find someone else willing to do it

Hi V-max , gralloching is always done immediately in my book , but I have been on estates where the keeper waits til back at the larder for gralloching, maybe so as not to leave grallochs littered about the countryside in this day and age where joe public is always knocking about.

Foxshot. Good going mate getting 2 in a morning. I have had 2 in a morning before but never more than that other than cubs , when I once shot 3 one after the other.
