  1. Too right , I had the same problem. I would check to see it it has been fitted with a nut on the inside of the stock , if not it will eventually come loose. Me and Foxdropper both had this problem , with Foxdropper having a scope smashed as a result !!! I would definitely check and get it sorted asap ............
  2. Its my old Ruger .22/250 mate . I used to use it a lot years ago but now I never use it I normally use the Tikka but I havent got any lamp mountings for the Tikka plus its lighter as it has no mod ..........
  3. Couldnt get anyone to go lamping last night so I thought I would go solo. 1st fox lamped extremely shy and ran off as soon as lamp hit it , I suspect the dog lads have been around again , this area in particular gets hassle from them and the foxes become very shy very quick. Further on I lamped another fox but this time it wasnt bothered by the lamp and I was able to bag this old dog fox ...cant believe he hung around so long..........
  4. Cracking pic .......gayboy ,was it on your local ground ?
  5. Very lucky Are those canadas there ? See if we can scare them eh
  6. I sat for a couple of hours on a wheat stubble yesterday afternoon hoping for some woodies , there wasnt many about but I still fired a few cartridges . The bonus was I saw a covey of partridges slipping into some cover so I thought I would go and try and bag a couple for my tea. On approaching the cover a strong covey of around 15 burst into the air but a bit too far in front , a straggler got up on its own and tried to slip out left handed but I managed to bring it down. Partridge for tea tonite , cant remember the last time I shot our English partridge , I couldnt believe such a strong cove
  7. Lazerlite mate. I like using it on the rabbits with a red filter , prefer the Lightforce with amber filter for the foxes though !!!
  8. Went up to Scotland to try for some ducks but the river was well up and there was no ducks to be seen , not a wasted trip though as I managed a right and left at snipe !!!
  9. Out lamping the other night , not the best of conditions with the full moon . I saw a fox running across a stubble field with no lamp on it was that light , it stopped for a look back and that was that. Managed a few rabbits but again would have had more if not for the moon.
  10. I bet your glad to be back out again , thats a cracking bag seeing as it was a full moon last night . I was out last night and only managed the one
  11. Out with my mate up Scotland FRiday night , I was the lamp man this time and my mate was shooting. 2 more to the tally..............
  12. Thanks lads , but theres always one who has a moan.I have said it before I shoot foxes all year round and all are shot on sight regardless, This is FOX CONTROL not this mentality of " leave them til winter ". By then they have done a great deal of damage to ground nesting birds in the spring and summer. I have shoot captains and farmers who are extremely pleased with my work , imagining saying to them that I wont shoot any foxes til winter , they would get shot of me straight away. The fox population is still increasing so imagine if none were shot throughout the spring and summer
  13. Just another couple from last night..................season going very well !!!
