What an amazing beast ? very lucky to have such majestic animals about.

No job yet mate . Been getting out as much as possible but not many foxes about been concentrating more on rabbits.

That's a great 1st day looking forward to our 1st shoot next Saturday, but a lot smaller affair. Hope it stays dry as makes for a nicer day.

Yep mate and also got to be in right frame of mind. Doesnt help with the wind blowing and a heavy gamebag on your back either.

I normally shoot quite well with my .22 on the bunnies but for some reason last night I found myself shooting below par ? snatching and missing rabbits I should have had . Also found myself delaying shots and missing opportunities, I suppose we all perform below standard every now and again.The half moon also came out and spoilt the night. Never mind glad to be out and pulling the trigger .....Anybody else have days/nights where you think what is going on ?

What a lovely day to go for a wander today , so decided to take the pup out for his 1st hunt in search of pheasants. Hes just 13 month and hasn't done anything yet so just let him do his thing. He started using his nose and when he found scent he would enter the cover , he flushed 8 pheasants today and I even managed to bag 1 .....missed a sitter later but just glad to be out just man and dog and enjoying the Autumn sunshine ???

Dumping doesnt happen on my grounds. If it did I would quite happily find them all a home ?

Nice to be out but the fields are soaking. 2nd farm never saw anything but heard a vixen screaming the alarm call.

Moon is bright now but going to try my luck on another farm.

Just popped out to the farm where we had 3 the other week. Field is now turnips about 6 inches tall , so set caller out on a rut 40yds away and played cub call. After 5 mins the ruby eyes appeared in the corner of the field ? Came in nice and steady along the top of the field til it found the rut my caller was on , came down a little way and I lit it up at 100yds , bang , plop , vixen in the bag ?

Social distancing is the main thing and that happens naturally on a shoot anyway. Sharing vehicles is a No and lunch just needs to be outdoors. Hand sanitizer available and masks job sorted ?

Hope it stays dry for next weekend for you ? I was up the shoot on Friday and our birds were well coloured up and tails on them , our 1st shoot is 2 weeks time. We put 100 ducks on the pond and I counted 120 so numbers growing ? Also a lot more pheasants about around the boundaries straying from next door ? Looking forward to getting started.
