    Got more patience than me , couldn't be bothered to sit for 3 hours for only a woody and a squirrel, saying that I could wait 3 hours for a fox or deer ?

    A farmer rang me today to tell me a fox has taken 4 hens , I said I will get through shortly. 1/2 hour later he rang back to say he had shot a dog fox. He went for a look down the wood and found a kicked out earth and saw a fox run off so decided to wait to see if it returned, anyway another fox approached the earth from the opposite direction which he shot. He told me " I don't feck about lol " Told me I can sort the vixen out ?

    Mines half and full too. I love the gun handles real well . I would just leave the chokes as I find it great , whether quarry is 10 yards or 50 . Too many people I think get hung up on choke but I find you are either on your quarry or not.

    Seeing as its the last day of the season I decided to go for a mooch with my little dog Bert. It was a lovely fine day and just great to be out. 1st cock lifted behind me out of some rushes , I had to swing round but folded him. Then a cracking cock lifted, a 50 yard crosser , swung right through and folded it lovely ? on picking it up a hen lifted and was off like a rocket , again I was on it and another clean kill.     Out this afternoon again helping my mate with his doe cull , I spot and he shoots. We stalked up the side of the wood to the corner where there is some high white grass. All of a sudden 4 roe appeared , 2 bucks 2 does at only 40 yds and started in our direction , I thought game was over but my mate managed to get on the sticks and dropped a doe on the spot. Next a skein of around 50 geese landed on the farmers winter wheat , the farmer hates them and with it being the last day of the season we put a sneak on them and he shot one at 170 yds . ?     Yep back in June Scottish Parliament voted to give them protection .

    We could all be dead in 5, 10 years time. Basically the benefits of having the vaccine outweigh the risk of catching covid . 7.5 million have already had it with nobody dying . Vaccines eradicate disease so seems silly not to have it and beat this pandemic.

    Well done , really surprised you didnt lose it. I once shot a fox with .243 as it was going over a dry stone wall up the pooper , I had to trail it for around 200 yds up a wood in the dark but luckily caught up with it. They can take some punishment.

    Just been out this afternoon for a couple of hours with the .243 to try and daytime call a fox which I saw a while ago. Anyway no show from Charles so decided to stalk the wood and see if any roe were resident. 3 white arses went bounding off through the trees so I thought my chance was gone. Next I spotted a squirrel so gave it a 100 grain pill ? Anyway when I got to the end of the wood I spied 3 roe , a doe and 2 buck kids. I had a fantastic stalk in on them through the bracken in the wood and ended up about 70 yds from them but the only shot on was the 2 buck kids as the doe was facing away

    Speaking from experience, I have had Covid and believe me it is not pleasant. Therefore I think vaccination is a good thing. The strange thing is those that are against vaccination (their choice) will be the first to complain when they become ill or family members die.?

    Still wrong ,surely we should strive for a better society. Euthanasia could be free I'm sure there would be plenty volunteers. Whatever happened to morals , respect and decency , I despair with the modern world.

    I have empathy for the victims but none for the offenders. I know people go down the wrong path but that's their choice , why should society have to sort out their mess. It was on the news yesterday that police in Durham will now carry drugs to counteract an overdose , I don't understand it ,let them die , 1 less to worry about and be a scourge on society.
