  6. :clapper: :clapper: Thought saluki first crossers covered this
  7. I know exactly what you mean, and thats why I kept it..as a wildlife photographer I tend to study Laurie Campbell, not just taking biological images of birds in typical poses, but getting those more intimate shots as he does..and I love them, but, I do enter a lot of camera club competitions and federation competitions, and if you so much chop the tip off a wing you are marked down by most of the circuit judges. It would never win a comp, but photography is all about what the author likes, and if no one else does, what the hell. and with this one, I like it.. http://www.lauriecampbell.com
  8. Cheers for all the replies, yes a big bird all over you can do some damage  ..it was my camera I was more concerned about though..by the way, the bird was ok too, just flew off throwing every epithet of damnation at me. I had my 300mm on at this point, should have had the wide angle on and got all the wings in, never mind
  9. Good show mate..Ive had three bitches that I lamped into double figures, and these were dogs that really grafted, every week of the month every month of the year..but they were all bred from graftes and that helps But obviously you have to wind them down as they get older, big numbers are a young dogs game..having said that.......

  14. Any digital Nikon or Canon over 6 mega pixels.. 10-12 or above in mega pixels is a waste of money, unless your a pro and going to be printing 24x36 prints..6 mega pixels will print off 13x19 prints easily..if your only wanting 8x10 prints 5 mega pixels will do..as a total wildlife photographer I go more for how many frames per second, thats one of the reasons I opted for a camera thats capable of 8 fps.. Lense...the best you can afford
  15. Thats some sized fish.. As you say, its a pity you hadnt been closer to get the quality, as the composition could have made it a competition winner.. What lense did you use for them Kay?
  16. thats some canny images there matie, thats the good thing about wildlife photography, what you get is not always what you plan for..

  20. When I did a wildlife photography course a while back, my tutor asked for a good image if possible of a wren. I did get some bits and pieces, but they are very quick and sometimes very difficult to get a good image of.. A wren I captured this morning..
