  6. Mis read your post, sorry, I thought your pup was a first cross. Yes of course your pup could be off a first cross sire..with lurcher to lurcher you will always get some that look like whippet crosses, some that will look like deerhound crosses and lots in-between

  10. had a good little bitch once didnt like charlie one bit and cant see them being the tool for a fallow buck. Yes mate your right, bigger quarry if being taken reqularly may need something a bit bigger, give Dave a ring, at least hes not using SHOW deerhounds, when you see the likes of the rubbish that patrols around the show rings nowerdays, far tooooooooooooooooooooooo big imo, and have had their hunting instinct bred out of them by the show click, who in their right minds would want to use these in usefull hunting hybrid propagation..too big, too clumsy, too un-healthy and in some case

  17. Put some bearie cross into what I had years ago and never looked back, Im not a lover of collies crosses..but the beardie cross I used was one of the hardest lurchers on foxes Ive seen, a hundred percenter and it did click with the deerhound crosses I had at the time..got some real grafters..smashing images by the way
  18. Had a few awkward bitches in my time One bitch we mated three times with no results, vet started doing swabs on her on the fourth attempton from the 10th day of her heat, , she wasnt ovulating, vet swabbed her every day, on the 20th day we got a phone call, vet had told the owner to get her to the stud dog immediately, our stud dog did the business (11pm at night) and she had 9 pups. Just an example not a rule..most bitches are spot on in everything from being mated to being good whelpers to good mothers, others are not..Get some professional advice to make sure there is no physilogical rea
