Did you send dogs to florida for Gary Hosker? Hi mate yes we did, he got 2 and another guy got one, but Joi went into the showing side of things, I think Gary had other plans, but, the women always win ehhh...

great grandson of coranach pennys cheiftain Had the privilage of seen your dogs grandfather winning his first coursing event at 15months old, and his second 3 weeks later, asked Sheila if I could use him as a stud, and we were the first to use him, he wouldnt win a show, but by christ could he run Have heard he was a good dog and like his grandfather this deerhound is never going to be a show dog, although at 22 months he's no coursing legend, he is showing some promise. He was a really great worker, and one that would have given a lot of lurchers a run for their money on ha

Seen American stuff running my self on coyotes, and know lads who have and run them, and have copies of emails asking me for pups..its a different world over there, 100mile square fields, and a place where coyotes are the main problem for landowners, ask on any farm/ranch to get on to do their coyotes and you will get on, their dogs are brought up on them, and are the bees knees for them, most yanks believe that these are the best dogs for the job..but, we have no coyotes here, and we can only work with what we have got..I was part of working deerhounds before the ban, at organised hare coursi

Ive never bought a lamp in my life, always made my own, had a Lucas square 8, took the glass out, as the bulb had a black metal cover around it, one of the best lamps Ive used, first one probably still lying in a hedge near Wooler, but made others for myself and lads I travelled with at that time

Been through it matie, nothing worse will keep an ear to the ground down my way for you..hope you get it back Lost probably the best deer bitch that Ive had to scum like this.. -
the one i see is in the north east ..a good couple of hours from me.. but i would drive 10 hours to see this man...hes a busy man and dosent see just anybody ..and i wont put his name on here ...but if i lived closer i would be round at his place whenever i had any spare time...helping out round his kennels just to learn what i could.....by the sounds of it romany they seem to very few of these men left.... Quite right, and some of the better ones just do jobs for mates and keep really low profiles now..

Yip...not many good reliable ones left..

Thats what these sites are all about, people who have got the experience in certain areas passing the info on..like I said in my post, only had two in my life, so can only comment on what Ive had, spot on about first crossers, first crosser of any type ever going to be my personal cup of tea as workers, all have failings Ive had many lurchers over the years, and no first crosser comes in my top ten..
-
I must admit Ive never seen a first cross deerhound greyhound refuse to run..but, only ever worked two, a dog and a bitch, both of these would run on hot coals, face a lion if asked to..caught big bags of everything in the time I had them..suppose there are good and bad in all crosses, but please correct me if Im wrong..

Thanks for showing us some good pics of your dogs.. Pity the threads gone off track a little though..put some more up matie its always interesting for some of us to see what other have, and like..

COMPARING THE PRICE OF PETROL THIS WILL MAKE YOU THINK! Compared with Petrol...... Think a gallon of petrol is expensive? This makes one think, and also puts things in perspective. Diet Apple Juice 16 oz £1.29 ........... £10.32 per gallon.

Cheers for the comments guys, the second one was taken before the first as he was coming over the hill, it was really misty at first but I could see the sun was going to break through..but was panicing that he was going to be away before the sun broke as he knew there was something not quite right, only got a couple with the sun before he went..

Very nice images matie

6400 is high, and unless you have a high end camera images are going to be noisy, and images would probably need some form of noise suppression..

Well captured matie

Cheers Mac Tut, got a few memory cards of them, some nice birds too, little auk, merlin, greenshank, turnstone, had a good day apart from the fall..the rocks with the yellow stuff on ok to walk on, but, those black volcanic rocks, yes they are deadly..broke the rear screen protector on the camera but it could have been worse, out of the 12 person party that landed, 4 fell down..
