  6. As its been said by a number of others, big deal..ANY dog should mark, Ive worked deerhounds that marked holes, and they are thick as f**k according to some on here..people slag off lamping as being easy, bolting rabbits to dogs is one of the easiest things any dog will do in its lifetime, and after a few times out, will pick up marking no bother at all..all mine have, and every lad I travelled with their dogs did too..

  9. We had a farm there too, rabbit heaven, we travelled up there 2-3 times a week lamping, ferreted there too, best place Ive ever had for rabbits, then, they put the fencing and drop in traps, there are hardly any rabbits there now, last year we had a look up, saw more rats in the fields than we did bunnies..

  16. I hunt all year round, so my dogs are always fit
  17. Got some pictures with him on somewhere, will hunt them out, great ground to run on, lovely area..I think the deerhound club secured the land through Anastasia Noble (Ardkinglas) and a guy called Dr Shamus Caine..think I have some footage with him on too..do you not keeper now?
  18. Private events we did the organised coursing bit, then, went for numbers, one dog one hare a deerhound bitch I had Becky got 14 one day, thats the best Ive done with a deerhound On organised coursing events, a professional/semi professional slipper was always used, and judges too. Alan Wilkinson was probably the best Ive seen as a slipper, A slippers job on blue hares, on heather is one hell of a job, getting the dogs both sighted, two pretty large dogs pulling you over heather it is difficult, on one even on the borders the judge asked for longer slips three times till the hares were qu
