  1. Says at top of the page "lurcher and sighthounds discussion" its been said plenty of times if you don't want to read it don't click on it its not rocket science
  2. Good luck with it mate, breedings there to be a toppa. at least you got it before they proper f****d it up
  3. great pics mate and looks good dog don't know a lot about this x , would a norm type coursing dog be as game on fox , as this x seems to be . Obviously a coursing dog been bred bred generations for the hare job, with great stamina +speed for that job, and prob not much thought regards foxes with in the type of dog . And this x prob used more for lamp, than day time coursing which it prob do ok , as opposed to a coursing bred type dog anyway . just a thought that's all .? IMO and i may be breed blind but a saluki x is the most well rounded dog you can get, get the right
  4. Very Raley people get charged with hunting with dogs act as they need to prove that you were there on the land and prove you slipped the dog into a hare which is hard to do so without video evidence or a police officer seeing you. They get most with the trespass in pursuit or "search" of game which means you don't actually of had to slip the dogs for them to prosecute you and depending on what court you are at will depend in the outcome, if its a known problem place you won't get away with "I'm Walking the dogs"
  5. thought desertbreds was Lol you carnt help yourslef can you ...... But think your right, I heard the same
  6. My 2 mate litter mates the sire is Pepsi so same way bred as Sam, the bitch is 23 inch they only pups still but the couple she's seen very very tight agile runner plenty of gears a good mouth she was 20/21 at 5 month. the dog is 28 inch and the couple he's seen he has done very well but he will be longer maturing, a good one is a good one no matter the size, I prefer smaller ones
  7. There was 3 buddy x tweed matings honey badger had one out of last litter same as the one I had, I think they where born 05/11/10. Tweed died shortly after having the pups
  8. Buddy x tweed bitch I had Lilly. Could give her big slips bags of wind wasnt a speed demon but more stick you give her the more gears she would find, the only thing with her is she used to run them for longer then she needed when she could of picked them up. She ended up lame and being places in a pet home
  9. Beauty pups that last one would be my choice and put the pups on the floor they got legs for a reason lol
  10. They will be proper I was only having the crack mate, pups looked well reared should make good all rounders atb
  11. Nice set up bricktol, what size are the pens
  12. Yeh, lucky bred bitch weren't she? How's your bitch do on the big rabbits? Shame you put her to a bullx you could of produced some proper pups with the right sire
  13. Don't know what you girls are arguing about, I will beat you both with my sisters cat
  14. I totally agree fazza, I never said that's what everone has to do I said that's how I would to It. The main point I was getting at is that the 3 turns was questioned why he wanted to keep them all till 12 week, the breeder should be able to keep them as long as he likes without being questioned as he's gone through all the hassle of breeding them
  15. And in replie to your edit "my old man was a brick layer but I carnt build a wall" obviously this is in relation to me saying my old man has bred litter in the past so I know what it entails. As it happens my old man was a Brickie too, and I can build a wall. You was obviously uninterested or unteachable
  16. What do you meen how I would go about it? The same way I would if I had only kept one pup. Cost and time wouldn't come into it if your bothered about that you shouldn't breed in the first place. My main goal would be trying to ensure i get the pup or pups i had tried to achive From the breeding. i never said I would keep them all I said I would keep as many as I could I never said I would keep them till 8 month I said I would keep them that long (or longer for that matter) if thats what it took for to come to a decision
  17. None, I've not had a bitch worth breeding from yet And i dont see the point in breeding for the sake of it theres plenty of well bred pups about but if the time comes and i do breed my litter i will take as much time as i want to ensure i get the Best pup that suits me out the litter. My old man has bred a couple (gundogs) over the years so I'm well aware of what is involved in rearing a litter before you start with all that bollox
  18. Yep 100% I would. At 8 week old your picking a shape and colour if your going to do that it would be easier to go buy one in, if you have gone to to all the hassle breeding in the first place another few month isn't much. give you a better chance to get a good guage and look for the qualitys you want in a pup
  19. If I bred a litter I'd keep as many as I could on for what ever amount of time ot took wether it be 8 week or 8 month. If Your going through all the hassle of breeding you want to make sure you get what you want
  20. Sandy was a whippet greyhound dont know the ins and outs geordie was indira akaba x shatir wahid also one of the gggp was tor of dartmoor
  21. Nice type mate, she should be able to spin them
  22. The difference is the wolf is hunting for survival so he has to catch as much as he can without using exess energy so ot is essential he knows what he can and carnt catch. Our dogs are fed watered and exercised daily they don't hunt because of hunger they hunt for the thrill of the chase itself and win or loose they are still going to go to a warm kennal and a nice meal. A dog that picks and chooses when and what it feels like running is no good to anyone
  23. Don't want to sound like I'm jumping on the band wagon gsdxg (as if your happy with your dog that's all that matters) but you sound like your trying to make excuses up for the fact you run half hearted dogs? There are plenty of times I've seen people say that dog won't even get to the quarry let alone kill, it then a minute later the dogs back in sight all over the quarry and then takes it out in style, there the runs we all remember and make you think that's a good dog I want one like that. not something you say get on lass and it runs 10 yards stops and runs back to you lol you say its becau
