    Oh I dont really agree with that, many of the younger keepers in the job are clever enough to realise what a handy tool a good lurcher can be.......do keep up with the times old boy Wilf No lad with a lurcher would get an interview let alone a job with any of the headkeepers and single handed keepers that I am acquainted with. For a number of reasons, that we are all very aware of. Bigot's like yourself are one of the main reasons the ban was put in place, tell me why you look at lurchers in such a dim light??

    What boots are you wearing now?? I have some Meindls and walk up and down some fairly steep hills in them with no trouble and no need for any spikes,studs etc

    Get the train mate, no traffic to worry about then leave hull station just after 5 be at wembley for half 8 ish. The traffic on that A1/M1 is a f*****g joke.

    I've recieved something similar from a different police force a couple of years ago even though I have permission on a number of farms in the area couldnt be arsed with the hassle of complaining etc. Im pretty sure my registration number was given to the police by a member of public.

    Just got an email back from one of them companies on the alibaba site, for a 12v 20AH samsung battery pack, with overcharge protection, 1000 cycles per battery life, and a few other features. They are asking for £23 per unit and that was for 5 units im sure if you bought in bulk you would get them even cheaper. they will also make them with whatever plugs you specify. The only problem they dont come with a charger, fuel gauge or outercase but im sure this can be over come with the saving that is being made £200. :icon_eek:

    i know its a bit heath robbinson ,, but if you got them parts, and cells,, you could just gafer tape them togeter, then put them in a tuppawear box,, with holes in one end for the wires. You would need some sort of foam to pack around the cell to stop it rattleing around inside the box but although its heath robinson it would definately do the job.

    The cell on the original link may not be the most suitable for the use we are looking for but there are plenty of alternatives on the alibaba site, with alot more information on discharge rates etc

    Could be a bussiness oppurtunity for someone, there are better made cells on the alibaba site i.e samsung etc for a franction of the price, some of them will ship single units too.
