  1. Lol, they where both as bad as each other pal... If your talking about "MALC".. I have fished with both, and i was with the latter on 2 occasions when he banked good 30'S....Yet i never saw him pull a trick or lie about a fish, like i saw others do pal!! In saying that, i was fishing on Lomond with him 20 odd yrs ago, and i can honestly say, his ability on that place is second to none.... The real deal from that era and area was "john watson"....!!!!! It is who im talking about and i know hes had a few 30s and from some hard waters aswell but he turned up on one of my local waters a
  2. Never met his brother but ive met gord a few times and hes always been sound , ive heard stories of strokes hes supposed to have pulled (tell me a piker who hasnt) a lot of which i think is jealousy based and comes from another fairly well known piker in that area , hes a snake and i dont believe half the fish he says hes caught after seeing him on one of my local waters .
  3. Theres some idiots about , i was a member of southport daa untill this year and they are one of the few clubs around with a bias towards pike fishing . 20,s are thin on the ground on the crossens and i wouldnt like to be in the person who did its shoes if they get caught , they are very popular pike venues are the drains , a lot of it down to gordy who lives near by and a couple of vids he did on there.
  4. I saw a picture in pike and predators a few years back of dave kelbreck with a nice one that took a jerkbait
  5. dont use the frontline spot on its far to strong for ferrets, only use the frontline spray(the kitten version) and only a little as mentioned above using a rubber glove to rub it in thats what the vet i bought the spray from told me aswell I bet he charged you more aswell no mate 8.50 for a 100ml bottle Thats cheap , i was expecting you to say about 30 quid . I pay around 11.50 for the spot on

The spot on is ok , i use it on mine without any problems
  8. Its a top set up tony . Get a picture up of the original bit when you got it from wigan
  9. Barefoot leather do some smart ones and matching leads aswell
  10. Give ted carters or lostock tackle box a ring , they do licences for a few clubs . I think you can get season tickets for vernons lodge , dont know what its like but it might be worth a look
  11. Agouti does wood pegs £3.20 for 10
  12. Have a look at feltons army surplus on lincoln st in preston , they are doing unissued miendle gortex lined boots for £89

    Mk3

Never had a problem with mine . Most of the lads i go with have them aswell and they are sound too
  16. Always feed mine before i go and it doesnt make any difference to how hard they work. They dont stop with any kills they make either so it cuts right down on digging
  17. Ive started summer ferreting this year and the hob that i use either kills and moves on or he will drag them out if they dont bolt, i always feed him before i go though.
  18. This one never made it to air on mock the week http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCCrDiWyPOY
  19. Agoutis the man. Good gear , good prices and quick delivery
  20. My favourites are squirelly burts , hell hounds , magic makers and bull dawgs . Those lures catch me a lot of fish on the waters i fish
  21. I always have herring on 2 of my 3 rods and either a big smelt, bluey or mackeral on the the other
  22. Ive just started myself and its fairly straight forward . I got a mate to show me what to do and after a he had done a few rows i had a practice with one of my own using some of that cheap jute , just till i felt confident enough to use my poly. Ive done a couple this afternoon without any disasters other than a few blisters on my hand . Its worth getting something to practice with first like string or jute just to get the hang of it , then your not going to wasting your proper stuff
  23. Looking good tony . Did you manage to get any of them small carabiners
  24. I usually just knock on the door and ask about ferreting , sometimes works sometimes it doesnt . I did pick nearly 700 acre up a few weeks back by asking if i could do the crows though . Just pick an area you fancy , jump in the car and drive round the farms . The worst they will do is say no .
  25. Dont bother with the fox ones they are not reliable, i have some and they are not much cop , like most of the stuff fox make they are overpriced and not very good quality. If you really want some digital scales reuben heaton do some and they are cheaper than the fox ones and you dont here people say anything bad about reubens.
