  4. yer your right, sorry. hes beddy x patterdale. i can answer why i called him a beddy, cos i couldnt be f****n arsed to write the rest of it ! Chill out mate, cardiacs aint funny
  5. This is my beddy, a good ratter, and busher which was what he was bought for.
  6. i love to show my animals, i love to work them too. The biggest problem with any show ive attended is that the judges dont know conformation and skeletal structure or the knock on effects of poor conformation, just to 'know a good dog' is not enough in my opinion.. To place a worker up because it has a Scars is bollox, what macho crap is that. I have yet to see a Judge talk through there judging with the handler, tell them the pros and cons of the conformation. I feel shows can be educational and have purpose but the judges should have to at least undertake a basic conformation course.
  7. I have two x's. One Bedy/Greyx Whippet, one Bedy x Grey. The Beddy x Grey is really point and shot. No recall when running something, and no soft mouth, no retreiving either but she is 200% commited. The Beddy/whippet x grey does all i could ask of her, recall on anything, retrieves live, a pleasure to work. I enjoy both, they just have diffrent tasks in life. The Bedy x Grey The Bedy/Whippet x Grey
  8. im a raw convert. Chicken carcusses one day, mince pork and beef the next. I add olive oil and weetabix for fiber and vits. Cheep if you source properly

  14. Hello Uphill Doc, Ive been reding this thread and have loved it and the pics. I am a bull breed fan and have owned a few previously and am now a Lurcher owner. I agree with you that well built animals should be bred from for working stock. I believe (may be wrong) you said something along the lines of 'people misunderstand the qualities that all Bull breed bring to the running dog'. May i ask what you think are the best things they bring to the table. Thanks, Neil
