As above we have 11 ferrets of all colours and eye colours and the colour has nothing what so ever to do with working ability
if you want good workers breed or buy from proven good workers even thats not 100% gauranteed but you have a much better chance of
getting good workers this way than looking at the colour
Depends if you want it for catching escapes or marking holes some terriers are brilliant markers better than lurchers but obviously cant run like a lurcher
Only make and use 4ft long by 18 meshes wide spun poly they cover most size holes sometimes 3ft 6 can be a bit tight on some of the larger holes
so for the sake of knitting another 6 rows you get a better size net i am in no way knocking 3ft 6 nets but would not go back to them after making 4fts
14 was the oldest ferret we ever owned also had a 13 old jill that died in her sleep in the summer this year but 8 to 10 is quite common and more the norm
Our ferret court needed its weekly clean out and my daughter bought 3 bags of straw at the local pet centre at £4 a small bag to put in the big sleeping compartment we normaly use shredded paper but we had run out so the daughter thought she would give them a change the ferrets a couple of days later started scratching like mad took a look at them and they are infested with ticks they were stuck behind there ears and even stuck on the faces of a couple of the jills so rather than going ferreting today we spent the whole day sterilising the whole ferret court my daughter picked off and killed
Thats sods law mate we had a good permission years age that was always good for a day out ferreting and always produced some good numbers asda sits on top
of it now lost forever you cant alter progress im afraid
have a nice season and good luck to your little boy
It depends on how many rabbits populate that area on one of our permissions there is a few small burries on the top of this bank
at the bottom of the bank there are massive burries 500/600 holes under all sorts of crap you could never ferret they are inexcessable you can ferret the small burries every week all winter and still get rabbits out of them week after week yet other burries in other places you do them once and they never fill up again till the spring
Our old jill died in the summer 13yrs old we had another one that lived to 14 but most seem to turn up there toes at about 10
regards working all the time they want to work let them our 13yr old was still happily working small 6/8 hole burries up untill the jan before she died in her sleep
To get rid of algae, put some rice in the bottle, with washing up liquid and very hot water. Pop lid back on and shake vigorously. It gets all the green shite off
Will give that a one a try next time
Never seen that type before mate we always use the normal large rabbit drinking bottles and when they are nackered or keep going green we buy some more they are only £1 each not the end of the world in the winter we always keep a seperate set in case the others freeze just swap em over and thaw out the frozen ones
Did anyone see on the news/papers about the evil sods who pushed nails and pins into apples then threw them into the horse paddocks at rottingdean ?
that horse livery is next door to one of our ferreting permissions which is also another horse livery was talking to some of the girls down there and they are so upset and worried that anyone would do such an evil thing
WHY would anyone want to inflick such cruelty to inoccent animals WHAT sort of sick B**TARDS are these people ????? if you have a problem with the owner surely you take it up with the owner no normal person does this sort of t
