The reason the diseases were not around is because the dogs nor the verterinary science to recognise them wasnt either. Progress in the latter field has enabled much research and help into these diseases. The KC fund an awful lot of research, in fact a HUGE amount (ongoing) into diseases like the Cavaliers had, the program just "slightly" touched on that but didnt elaborate or give the full facts did they? A friend of mine has a hive for sale, she has one in her garden and others on a local farm and allotment. You can have one in a garden, you just fence it off and the bees fly straight up and away. You've only been looking on here for three weeks, it's a dog which could last you for 15 years not a plasma tv. I waited for my lurcher for over a year because i wanted one from certain lines and it took me a good six months to find my new terrier. The problem nowerdays is that everybody wants everything right now, that's the reason why everyone is up to there eye balls in debt and many thousands face loosing there homes. Shepp

I hear a lot of blokes work has slowed down or not much up for priceing at the moment. On the house front, i don't often see sold signs outside houses and if a house is advertised for 280,000 then people are offering 250,000.

If you buy now with no deposit then you'll be in negative equity the day you move in and will see that negative equaty creep up every time you open the local paper. I think it will be two years before prices are on the up again and i think a three hundred grand place will fall to two hundred grand before then. Shepp

I would of thought from my limited knowledge that aiming to keep the size down is fairly important as over sized is more of a problem with bedlingtons than undersized. I think if you breed good workers to good workers then the size often creeps up, as with working pedigree whippets which i often see at 23" Shepp
