  1. My mates going to make some soon, he's knocking up a press this week. He said the yeast required is already on the apples and the fizz will come once it's been in the bottles for a while. I would be tempted to add my own yeast though, just to make sure you get the right strain. Good luck.
  2. Well of course I bet you've never poached a bit of land
  3. They do it at Guildford College which is where i'm applying and also Maidenhead.
  4. It's at a local college, three days a week, 43 weeks of the year. You can get a diploma after one year or carry on for two to get to NVQ 3 level.
  5. Hi all, I am putting up for sale my four silver sussex bantams. They are less than a year old and started laying just a couple of months back, they each lay almost daily and the eggs are of a reasonable size for a bantam. They are excellent examples of the breed with at least one being of show standard. They are a good hen for the garden because they rarely fly and do not scratch up the lawn. I want thirty pounds each or all four of them for one hundred pounds. Cheers Shepp
  6. That's the best attitude with any course. It's the reason I've done every course I've completed and I don't regret it for a moment. That's good to hear mate
  7. Welcome Wes Tell me are mullets still a common sight out there?
  8. Wont you miss all the chasing out and climbing throogh roof spaces in the middle of summer Shepp?? Not much mate It makes me laugh when people think I go to work, never get dirty standing in from of a consumer unit with a screwdriver in my hand. In fact that takes up about 5% of my time. Been in an a loft space today where they insulated it with three layers going cross ways over the beams and the builder complained that i shoved it out the way. I had to put in spot lights and extractor fans in the bathrooms below, what the f**k else was i supposed to do?
  9. I work as an electrician and have for over twenty years, never really enjoyed it much, although the money is good. It has now got to the stage where even the money does'nt compensate my dislike for the job, so i think i'll give this course a go, at worst i'll gain knowledge in things that interest me.
  10. I just wondered if anybody has taken the above course, thinking about signing up to start next month? Shepp
  11. You got it right there i reckon
  12. If I was you villebones I would be looking for another cross, I don't think they are the best lurcher to start with. They can be very sensative and if you make mistakes when training them they are not very forgiving, i think they can be one of the easiest dogs to ruin. If i was you i would get a whippet or a beddy cross grey or whippet. Saying that in patient, experienced hands collie crosses are the best.
  13. I would say the bedlington was more saved from the brink than resurrected but that's pretty much splitting hairs.

    Broody Hen

Does any body know how to stop my hen being broody. She has been like this for weeks, should i take her away from the nest box or just let her sit it out?
  17. I was quoted 150 pounds to bring a pup from North Yorkshire to Surrey.
  18. I use dry as a mixer, just use the standard James Wellbeloved which i find helps bring down protein levels of my minced chicken. Otherwise my lurcher is a bit too over active.
