  1. I've listened to a few debates on this and expert opinion is that culling is likely to spread the disease because breaking up family groups of badgers will only spread the TB further afield I'm not persuaded that culling will eradicate the problem.Statistics given from previous times suggests not.
  2. Thanks The course lasted just over 2 minutes. I actually have the uncut version of the Fieldfare Challenge on tape thank God, because the one that was sold had been edited to make it look like Tay jacked on the 1st hare , when in actual fact both dogs put the hare in a suff, and while tay was stood having a pee, the other dog started coursing another hare in the distance, and of course Tay tried to join in,but he obviously hadn't got the wind that a saluki cross has. As I look back now, I realise that I was only invited to be made to look a c**t, but they came unstuck, because he did me prou

  4. Magwitch gave kits away this year. Scum like this need ,well perhaps I won't say any more ,we may get lucky and find them.
  5. I'm not a great admirer of tripe, I give it to my two retired dogs ,,with other meat , but my two workers only get a token smattering of it, being mainly on a mixture of beef, chicken, and rabbit.
  6. I can 't see why you would have a problem . You may find the dogs a bit loose at first, if there is a lot of offal in the mince but you are feeding good stuff with it things should soon sort themselves out.Another poster thought the economy mince was dear, I think its cheap, depends on whom you've tried I suppose. MInced chicken is fine, but you need red muscle meat to complement it.imo.
  7. Some of you guys are feeding a high protein complete food, and adding further protein. Not necessary, or always a good idea as dry and raw take different lengths of time to digest and process. Having said that, most dogs seem to cope reasonably well: canines are the ultimate adaptable animal, capable of assimilating and processing most types of food. Just look at all the scavenging dogs in the third world: you can bet their diet isn't 'appropriate to species' but they survive, though interesting to note that most bitches who survive by scavenging from village dumps seldom whelp more than
  8. Maize and Beet Pulp are no good for dogs.
  9. This is a good cause that deserves supporting.
  10. I have two block built sheds for my 4 dogs, [2 in each,] lined in tongue and groove, with fibre glass insulation underneath. wooden flooring ,a couple of inches thick. Both are sheds within a sheds. A flap on the first door, sharp left turn [so no direct draft,] another door and flap, with a short board for the dogs to hop over then over another board into their bed, full of shredded paper. A flap on the door shown to the left in your pic might be an idea in the cold weather.
  11. If I had known I was going to be in the frame, I'd have had a shaveTomo.Have a good season bud.
  12. Ted carried the dead bunny all the way up to the top of the hill, Smokey put a turn in on the runner , but the bunny just made safety. Then Ted carried his catch all the way back. Made me laugh, watching the wee fella chasing after my dog , but refusing to drop his prize. Seven without nets, nothing earth shattering, but a very pleasant way to spend a couple of hours.
  13. As I said, I've seen three videos with Mr Gallagher in them. There is a saying in American sports ,[which refers to baseball I think,] "strike three ,and you're out". ps .See you at the show.
  14. I respond to comments from others when I think it is warranted, positively, or negatively as the occasion demands You already know my opinion of you, but if you wish to re-open hostilities, feel free to do so. I don't think you have the artillery to trouble me unduly.
  15. " When it goes right,it's fantastic". You should live so long Ade Edmonson is ok, but I think a more appropriate commentator would have been Denis Nordern from" It'll Be Alright On The Night". I've now seen three of Mr Gallagher's videos, the kindest comment I could make on them is, " no comment". Oh well, I suppose someone had to fill the gap left by ," Some Mothers Do Ave Em".
  16. Horses for courses. Nothing wrong with him that a sharp knife would not sort.
  17. It probably is the best, but £60 buys a lot of beef/lamb mince.
  18. Tripe is pretty far down the nutritional level as far as protein is concerned, certainly compared to beef
  19. So do I, but I give a handful of Alpha Racer as a mixer.
  20. It's just about the best complete food out there. http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog-food-index-a.html
