    Personally I would not use a stud until I was sure it was throwing quality pups. There has been plenty of very good dogs that threw relatively little of any worth. The greatest male coursing greyhound Master McGrath never produced a pup worth two bob. I will not name some of the great male saluki crosses that did the same , you can make your own lists.     How long were the slips? Ive seen several small dogs take hares on 80yd slips, so have you. Bred by a man you run with in the club. But not pure whippets and not 18".

    I can sympathise with your annoyance Baw, but as for Lucas ,though I have not seen him run myself, a couple of respected. experienced dog men, whose opinions I trust have and they rate him a very good animal indeed.On some land a lot of decent dogs can make a catch or two,and flatter only to deceive when they are on other ground where the quarry is either turbo-charged and straight lines them.or there is an abundance of hedges and drains for them to throw off the dog and pipe into.     My first lamp , liked it a lot smallish tight beam, with another tiny walking light attached .Very handy for putting the dog back on slip, or getting over obstacles, better wiring than the light force but most of them are!

    i kno mate but im just trying to be honest. i can show them the dog running rabbits but why would you wanna see the dog running rabbits. so basically on 1 breath yr willing to give trial,but on the next your saying,why would anyone want to see the dog running rabbits? hmmm Maybe because it's a coursing dog and a lot of lads wouldn't call rabbits much of a test/trial? I think it sounds like an honest sale at a fair price, it's upto the buyer to do the right checks when they go and see it, not for everyone on here to break the guys balls for trying to find a home for a dog he doesn't h
