This is obviously a posed photo,you can see the poor dog has been superglued to the latch,shame on you Skycat! Seriously though sheis very racy for that cross isnt she? Ive seen one or two and though they turned out to be clever canny dogs they all had the exaggerated stifle bend of the GSD,and were considerably thicker through the loins,seems youve got just about the right type from the mix,all the best with her.See you at the great EAST OF ENGLAND SHOW,at Peterborough,on Oct the 14th,at theEast Of England Showground.INAN.

I wouldnt call the pup thin ,maybe a bit fine,they change so quickly dont they?,Ive a 5months old pup ,one minute he was like a rack of toast ,after all his chase me charlie games with the others,now hes a ball of fur,yours is a nice looking pup all the best with him.Inan.

I liked this little black and white bitch ,very fast and could hang on,I saw her run against INK a very good dog ,lehtal on plough,but I never saw JUDY run singlehanded.Im surprised no one has mentioned BLONDIE,Sankeys bitch ,I thought she was top class,very determined and great in cover.BEAUTY and BEAST litter mates were very good dogs,Skycats MINA,was a lovely bitch to watch.

cheers for reply mate the vet said it wasnt that bad and certainly worth a go so thats what ive done , this is first time this has happened to me and if it doesnt work out then if theres a next time (different dog) it will be pts Sorry to hear about your dogs misfortune ,all I can say is allways go to a greyhound vet for anything except the basics like jabs and wormers,we all have dogs that get injured unfortuanately its part of the game ,but a running dog vet is essential imo when it come to injuries of this sort,all the best with your dogmate !Inan.

Most of the folk I know who keep out and out hare dogs dont run them on big ears till at least the second week in October ,when the hares are a bit stronger ,and the ground is softer.

When would you suggest he starts getting his dog fit for the forthcoming season? Most people I know are starting to get a few runs for their dogs, they wont get fit standing around in a kennel. Bushing , lamping and Bike work will get your dog fit without running hares in early September. Thats all very well Inan. But, a dog has to get practice on the way a hare runs, early in the season. If you do all you said and theirs nowt rong with it, then come January, put on to a strong winter hare, the dog is baffled with its speed, ect, puts it off. Confidence means a lot, as you most li

I agree mate, but in the mean time theres nothing wrong with having a mooch about is there! I went to the last Waterloo Cup ,sadly I cannot see it ever happening again under this shower ov shite. Is it right what i've heard that David Cameron (conservative leader) has been Deer stalking?. If it's true he should use this to drum up votes throughout the fieldsports community and bring back our beloved coursing and show all them tree hugging/leaf eating w*****s the Camerons Father in law is a MOFH.

Very valid point Shaun ,with all the crowd on the bank,plus the inevitable noise ,some hares options were reduced,I along with many others saw quite a few hares make for the banking.only to spot the crowd and have to veer off it ,and try and straightline the dogs to the nearest pipe or hole in a dyke.Sniper was an excellent dog,an unlucky bitch imowas Big Martins Beauty,it was injured and had to be withdrawn,that was the year Braddies bitch Roxy ,sister to Drax won it.Dont think I saw a dog given bigger slips than Lucky got the Millenium year. if i rememder right sanky slipped lucky that

I have allways given my dogs the front ends of rabbits and thrown the heads to the ferrets,this year I started to feed raw,with Magwitch and I shooting so many the last season I can give the two adult dogs I keep whole carcasses,I freeze them for a whileto kill off any worms,then after defrosting joint them,backlegs go to one dog the front end to the other ,next day the reverse,I supplement these with the giblets ,cooked,and a couple of tins of sardines a week and occasional eggs, added to this is Beta greyhound meal,the dogs seem to do allright on it,in the winter I make them a few stews ,b

Ive two grown dogs one 6 and one fifteen months,just bought a three months old dog pup,he is kenneled with the younger dog they are fine together ,but I have to watch the older fella ,he doesnt like the pup coming up behind him and has growled at him a couple of times ,the pup just rolls over in submissive style offering his belly,most of the time it is chase me charlie in the garden ,but I dont leave them alone.I dont think you can read too much into a pups behaviour around adult dogs they are changing and developing all the time.
