How can you get milky does in stubble stubble is from August onwards and does are milky aip/may. Where have you been for the last 10 - 20 years? There are leverets around even now: its called global warming. I reckon the only time you are unlikely to find milky does now is from late Novemeber to late January: that's been my experience anyway these last 10 years or so. so you run y dogs two month a year part timer I dont know you Nite dog ,but I do know Skycat ,and that is one person who has a wealth of experience of coursing hares pre-ban,and Im talking about coursing w

Ive frozen mine for a week up till now ,but I was out with Sky cat on Wed ,and Im now informed that it takes 3 weeks to kill off the worm and any cysts that may be harboured in the flesh.

I quite agree Frank ,the crime is the waste of resources that would be better used preventing burglaries and mugging,imo.There have been some high profile prosecutions brought recently ,against the likes of Clarissa Dickson Wright,Sir Mark Prescott,and Peter Easterby toname but three,it would seem the antis are out to make a point after their failure to make us stop,our "legal "activities. Not wishing to put a damper on your understandable enthusiasm,but there are a lot of plod poaching operations on at the moment ,no expense spared stuff,including helicopter surveillance ,what you do is not my business,just making you aware of the climate at the moment. whatever you decide ,may I suggest you keep it to your self,not in any way being critical or negative towards you,,just ,hopefully helpful .Inan.

The back end of the dog puts the decider on it theres nothing there! And bearing in mind how the dog is bred I think he is definitely under weight,not finely drawn ,under weight!

if i had him pts i would always wonder what if i had gave him a chance??? and ill always wonder would he have been better if he never broke his leg ??? i like the pup a lot and i was getting it fixed anyway so he deserves a fair chance so ive had the best possible surgery done to improve his chances , if he doesnt make the grade at least ive tried and gave him that chance , the money isnt a problem and hes still only 4months old , i will know a lot better in 2-3 months how the bones healed as he will be without the brace and pins and be half way through his rehabilitation program ive got lined

Funny that.......have you ever considered that there are some people who would never go in for those sort of competitions? The just work their dogs alone or with a couple of friends. It makes me laugh that so many people these days think that unnless a dog has won a competition it's no good> believe me, there are dogs out there today who could hold their own and then some with any of these competition dogs. not considered it......no I know it the best dog i ever saw was never matched or entered any comp,s BUT,,,,,,,,,,,,,,ive never seen or herd of any norfolk,collie or ay other

Yes you are right JH kept two back from the litter ,the bitch S was very good ,looked like she would be as good as her mother P,but was killed in a traffic accident while coursing ,during a competition,I dont think the dog G was as good as the bitch,but then I hevent spoken to Jh for some time ,and the dog may have improved ,he is a big lump around 29in Id say,Wm has had some fine dogs over the years ,allways enjoy his company real nice bloke,I expect he,ll be at the East Of England Show.Sorry to hear you lost your bitch ,its allways the good uns isnt it? As Skycat has mentioned in an earlier post ,the pic was taken in a farmyard ,the occassion was an all winners day competition ,for dogs that had won a stake,[no I didnt win it],the reason its not on the actual field ,is that as a club we were often troubled by poachers ,and so photos and videos were not encouraged,sensible really ,though I like many another I suspect regret the lack of footage of our dogs doing the job,still they live in our memories.Inan.
