  1. Both are brilliant rifles Gravel bud, it has to be said. If I'm honest i wouldn't say one is any better than the other. I've shot them both and currently own a HW97KT getting pleasing results with it. Granted its highly tuned by a master tuner, but Davy's 97 isn't and he is as accurate with his as any man is with a rifle. I've witnessed it many times over this past 4 weeks. Working in conjunction with a LRF and a calibrated scope ret and best pellet for his barrel he is capable of doing what many people probably wished they could do with a PCP . This is no tall story either. I don
  2. Hi Si, Thanks for the comment, to appear with you on Verminhunterstv would really make my day, i don't no if you noticed in the vid i sounded like a stalker with my Breathing, i was in a right old state when i got home thats one of the reasons it wasn't a long Vid. I was really out of breath, been struggling with it for months now on and off, but got to see the Doc this morning as an emergency and i have a large infected area in my throat thats swollen and obstructing my airway. I'm now on very strong antibiotics for a week so won't be out for a week at least, I live in Castleford West Yorkshi
  3. Cheers mate i see now as i was on my mobile last night and couldn't see your profile. Si.
  4. Very nice looking rifle you have there pal. What scope and pellets are you using with it pal?
  5. Good effort there buddy. Your camera work is improving clip by clip. I take my hat off to you for trying and taking the time to show us your session. I would really like to work with you on a episode of Verminhunterstv in the future and I'd be willing to film you in action which would let you get on with your shooting without worrying about filming mate. Going by your accent your not to far from me. Si.
  6. If the BSA is in good working order mate use it instead of the B2. The B2 insnt in the same class as the BSA. A trigger has a lot to do with the accuracy of a gun and I know the B2 has a very poor one where the BSA trigger is much better. The MK 6 should also be pretty close to max power if all working fine but anything from 9 to 11.5 foot pounds if used wisely will be adequate to cull vermin. Si.
  7. Nice mate do you need a hand LOL. What flavour you using pal? Welcome to the airgun section as well. Si.
  8. I think pcps are lovely bits of kit and have a real purpose in air rifle shooting and hunting making accuracy easy for the new shooter and experienced alike. Since going back to recoilling rifles though I feel my shooting as come on leaps and bounds and after watching Davy shoot his out the box 97 like he does I would say he's as accurate with it as I am with my 100, r10 or ultra now that we have properly calibrated it. I would say keep the 97 and practice till your getting the most out of it mate. Don't just shoot it though. Get to know it inside out, calibrated it finely and feed
  9. Good to hear your happy with the Pro Sport pal. I've owned 1 myself and believe its the best springer out there straight out the box. I've shot just about all the top springers that there is less the new Walther and nothing out the box has for me beat a Pro Sport. Only springer better is a tuned HW.
  10. I think i know what your next project is bud . I think it involves a friend of mine from Sandwell . Cant fault you though buddy, you wont ever get a better springer if you go for a stage 2 tuned one. Si.
  11. Great work Darryl and excellent info for those who are looking at doing a refurbishment themselves. Si.
  12. Roger, you mad man . Stop dreaming about it and get out and use it buddy . The rabbits are waiting for you now. Si.
  13. Thanks all for the comments. We are happy to do what ever needs to be done to improve the channel within reason and do take suggestions into consideration seriously. Next month me and Davy have something very big coming up that we have been asked to keep under wraps until then which will impact on us both massively for the future and who watches us and our channel so we need to ensure that we get it correct now. More to come next month. Si.
  14. Hi lads and lasses, In this episode of VerminHuntersTV you will see the results of 2 shooting sessions spread over 2 days. In session 1 the shortest session we filmed you will see me shooting wood pigeon on mine and Davy’s permission with my fiancée Laura – Jayne (LJ) acting as the camera woman. The pigeons we are shooting are being humanely dispatched for the protection of crops at the location we are shooting at. In session 2 you will see me and Davy back at that location and another permission where horses are bread and trained shooting a rabbit and more of the crop stealing
  15. Yes Im doing ok this year so far buddy. Looking forward to when the crop is cut though as many of my permissions are not shootable. Si.
  16. I really enjoyed that write up Craig and the new stock looks lovely on the MFR. What a brilliant shot as well buddy. You cant beat that shot placement in the breeze . I too would be proud of a shot like that in those conditions . Si.
  17. Hi lads and lasses, This is me and Davy setting up a good friends (from the Hunting Life Forum) sub 12 foot pound air rifle and calibrating his MAP 6A reticuled scope for him the way I have found to be the best way of calibrating a rifle and scope prior to doing some field testing with it and taking it out onto one of our permissions to shoot vermin. Please note that all the shots taken at longer ranges on live vermin were only done so after lots of practice and by a very skilled air rifle shot. Under no circumstances is it advised to try and copy these shots at these ranges unless
  18. Good effort pal and a nice shot. Thanks for taking the time to get us some footage buddy . ATVB Si.
  19. Same here buddy . Mine works a treat and assists lots. Si.
  20. A consistent low powered air rifle is far better than a powerful inconsistent rifle that cant group well. Weather a rabbit is being hit in the head with 4 foot pounds at 45 yards in .22 from a muzzle energy or 9 foot pounds or 5.1 foot pounds at 45 yards from a muzzle energy or 11.5 foot pounds is by the by as its still dead but try and kill a rabbit at 45 yards with 30 foot pounds when the pellet wont land in the right place. It wont happen 8 out of every 10 tries. Si.
  21. Nicely done buddy . A range finder will almost double your kills to misses ratio especially if you start and shoot a little further than normal after practice etc. Si.
  22. Lovely photo there Ron . Dont you just love a Ultra? Si.
  23. Brilliant news pal. Another happy SFS customer. Got to say from 1997 when i got my first tuned rifle from Tony I haven't heard 1 bad comment about his services from the people Ive sent his way. The bloke is just pure class. I did a shot today at a lased 58 metre coke bottle top on a nail against a wall with my tuned 97KT and on my kids life the pellet struck dead centre on 4 mil dots hold over which is what the rifle bedded in at. Probably the best shot i have ever done with it on a target. Now the rifle is re calibrated after bed in and ready for some more hunting.
