Which older rifles would you tune, if any?
zini replied to redial's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I know someone that tunes springers and he rates the proper Webley Vulcan above all the Weihrauchs when it comes to tuning. He really knows what he's talking about too. Any questions on the subject please phone Sandwell Field Sports (SFS) on 0121 520 2000 and ask to speak to a gentleman called Mr Wall . Si. -
Hi there subscribers, In this episode of VerminHuntersTV you will see both myself and Davy back down at the dairy farm again trying to control and manage the numbers of rats that have made the barns and dry grain store their new home causing crop damage and property damage in the process. Please enjoy and please give the clip a big thumbs up if you like it. Si & Davy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0DFgXNNLYw&feature=youtu.be

I dont eat everything I shoot myself. The feeezer isnt that big to keep filling just with rabbits and woodies etc. Me and Davy took 20 bunnies to the butchers the other day from a nights cull and made some money. Sometimes the rabbits are used as bait for corvids and if im honest if its a pest control job and its late, they sometimes go for Charlie.

What calibre is your 100 mate? Si.

Hi VM, Just seen this post mate. Very pretty looking area to shoot on mate. I wish you all the best there. Great photo too. Very promising I think. I think the feeders will be the key to some awesome static hunting sessions for you mate.

You two (Chaz and Dave) need to be in the Muppet show in place of them two old grumpy chaps that sit on the balcony . All good Chaz buddy and thanks for the pm mate. Still good buddies . Si.

Your point of impact will be different if you use this type of bipod pal. The S200 only as a few inches of barrel sticking out after the cylinder and if you attach a bipod on the barrel you will totally change the harmonics of how the rifle discharges. Even a so called recoilless rifle isn't recoilless (hammer bounce etc) hence your higher impact on the target. This is magnifying a ballistic process called JUMP. Also the added weight of the barrel bipod with cause the barrel to lift under its own weight from the stock and action causing your impact to be higher. Barrels ne

Daz I remember buddy . I was there . Si.

Sorry Chaz if you took the comment out of context, it wasn't intended how you read it mate and I definitely wasn't having a pop at pcp shooters in anyway or form. The comment was meant to be about the 2 different designs of rifle and how different they are to shoot, and not the blokes who shoot them . Maybe it was bad wording on my part, so I apologise mate, you grumpy git . I wasn't talking about competition level shooting either pal, and was getting at the fact that if you set up a pcp indoors off a sand bag and shoot it 10 times at a target just by pulling the trigger with th

Army pension mate.

If you go the Panorama route I would go for the AO IR model.

Just put in a order today myself mate with Tony Wall at Sandwell Field sports for the new BSA Ultra SE multishot (.177) for Laura my fiancée . (Pick up Feb) along with some other guns and bits and bobs . Great rifles are the Ultra's, for the price probably the most accurate air rifle on the market if matched with a correct pellet (.177 seems to love JSB Exacts at 4.53mm) with the capability to match a target rifle, as has been proven . I think that your nipper will be waiting for a shot . Si.

here ya go buddy http://www.bbc.co.uk...rammes/b006t14n

Hi mate, Due to the fact that you have just purchased a top of the range rifle and one of the best ones in the world I would seriously think about putting a good optic onto it to get the best out of it. If the rifle is a .177 I would look at either a Hawke Side Winder Tac 30 4.5 – 14 x 44 IR with side focus (SF) and with half mildot reticule or a MTC Mamba 4- 16 x50 IR with SF. If the rifle is in .22 then I would go in the following order: Hawke Side Winder 30 4 – 16 x 50 SF with the new SR Pro reticule. Side Winder Tac 30 4.5 – 14 x 44 IR with side focus (SF) and with half

What calibre is your new Ranger pal? Once you come back with that Ill give you some good advice.

EDITED Nice one mate . Its good to see more springers starting to come back into the section again . There's just something special about shooting a well sorted and looked after springer that no pcp I have ever shot as ever managed to match. Si.

How much are you willing to spend buddy?

Morale Parcels to the Royal Marines thanks to THL forum
zini replied to Grayling's topic in General Airgun Discussion
FANTASTIC Gary buddy. Being a serving soldier myself who as been on many many operations around the world over the past 22 years, I know just how much these parcels will mean to our service men and women. When your in situations where everyday items are not present, a bag of sweets or a pot noodle means so much more to you that you can ever imagine. Well done for what your doing mate. Si. -
Nice one partner . Can I have a bowler hat too in December . Yeah I think its about time you stopped playing around with the TX200 (baby calibre anyway mate) and got out the Weihrauch (big boy calibre) to knock them targets over with. If you can hit pigeons in the head cleanly at 50 and 55 metres with it like I witnessed you do with it in the Summer at mine, the 8 to 45 yards targets wont cause you much trouble mate. I think if you upgraded your scope to the new Hawke Sidewinder 30, 4 - 16 x 50 SR Pro that's just come out you would be onto a right winner (trust me). Si.

Well in lads. Looks like all the scores were a lot higher this round . You should try the .22 class Davy. Looking at them scores I feel you would have a good chance of being up there mate in the medals with how you shoot your HW97KT when out hunting with me. I'm going to try and make the Cambridge meet in Dec buddy and enter in the .22 class. Should be a good laugh. Si.

Yes at the right price mate. As I said I'm not giving it away. Id sooner keep it than give it away. £790 ONO Si.
