Nice shooting Gary bud, The Weihrauch silencer looks like it did you some good mate. Is the S510 as quiet as a HW100KT with the silencer fitted pal? I think i am going to do soem lamping tonight as i have the itch after my woody today. Si

Hi everyone, Here is a little tiny bit of footage from today when out with the BSA R10 while walking the dog. This big fat woody stuck out really easily in the tree so made a nice shot. The squizzer is from a week or so back, but as Yellow Belly posted his thread yesterday about squizzers raiding his bird table I thought that id put my way of putting a stop to them on here. The squizzer was taken with the HW100KT Here is the link to the short clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_xJ0Xdrzfo Zini

Brilliant write up as always Davy Great photos too pal Zini

Nice pictures Jack, it looks like a nice permission there. Thanks for apologising to the lads you upset buddy. It takes a bigger man to say sorry so well done and welcome to the section pal. Zini
-
No problems Yellow buddy Tony, You know it pays to be a little modest now and again Si

I find my HW100KT pretty awsome too if you find the right pellet to match the barrel. It will put a pellet in the same hole as the last one at 50 metres if your shooting is up to it. Balances nice in the shoulder, is small so good for shooting from a vehicle and is very quiet. Highly rated. Mine is my lamping rifle. Zini

Squizzers are very clever animals pal. If you move the food and dont top the bird table up they will move to the new food source very quickly, after a day or so. A well placed pellet to the brain kills them quickly. They will jump about a bit after they are hit but thats just nerves so dont get put off buddy. It will be clinically dead. Ive shot 1 or 2 in my time and am sure if you follow my tips you will do well pal. Dont shoot them in the body as they will run off and die. They are very hard animals. Dont retrieve the shot animal until you are sure they are dead. They

I can give him the number of a bloke selling a HW80 with silencer and scope which defo will do the job. Ive seen the gun in the gunsmiths shop and its in mint condition. I was thinking of getting it myself until the Airsporter turned out so good. If he is interested in driving to North Yorkshire, pm me Zini

Hiya Adam, Well this is her now back from the gunsmiths, Ive finished the stock and the bluing now and she is a powerful beast. The silencer i fitted today and she is a wolf in sheeps clothing now buddy, a real vermin destroyer. I did a test in some pine between my HW100KT and her and the results for penetration were the same. Just waiting on the tasco to come now from Hong kong. The mount is the new GunTuff reach forward / backwards mount as the scope rails are not very long. With this mount i will get the perfect eye releif Si

Cheers Shay for your kind comment buddy. Lord if you zero your .22 calibre at 20 yards you will be looking at hardly any difference at 10 yards or 30 yards. The speed that the pellets it moving it will cover 10 yards in a point of a second and so not move up or down the sight line by much at all. You are looking at at 10 yards 0.2 inch and at 30 yards 0.9 inch which is well within the kill zone. Zini

Good write up Gary pal Its good to see that you are honest and tell how it was. I respect that pal, sometimes its good to read write ups from experienced shots missing as it gives the younger and less experienced lads a idea of even the crack shots can miss from time to time. Next time you can lamp Gary and Ill have a shoot, its time my R10 came out to play again Well done buddy . Yes Stealthy its a good job i steel them from my work

Well done Tony pal Its always nice to get a kill after a prolonged break from shooting. A really good write up too buddy Si

Well done pal There is nothing like a bit of squizzer bashing to brighten your day. Zini

Hi Stormrider8, After reading your thread I suggest the following: Due to the fact that you want the rifle to shoot rabbits from either foot or a 4x4, I think that you need a rifle that isn’t too heavy and is a multi shot, as loading while holding on to 4x4 would be dangerous and tricky. Nearly all of the modern PCP rifles will shoot more accurately than the shooter is capable of shooting and so accuracy isn’t a problem as long as you have matched the correct pellet to the barrel. If you don’t want to spend too much money but want a really good rifle I would look at the

Will do pal. Ive just finished the stock on the Airsporter. It looks as good as new now with not one scratch on her. Ive opted for a deeper colour and it looks really nice pal. I cant wait to get the action in her. Zini

Nice shooting pal. A jay is always a bonus Zini

HI Alex, I use .22 calibre FX 16 grain pellets. Yes i wash and lube all my pellets as soon as i buy them. I wouldnt put dirty fuel into my car so why put dirty pellets into a rifle? Zini

Hi pal, Yes i will be doing some video footage with the new rifle. I phoned the gunsmith up and he told me that the rifle was ready for pick up on Monday morning. He couldnt thread the barrel as he first thought but shortened the barrel for me and re crowned it so that i can fit a Webley Pro System silencer without making the rifle too long. He fitted a new spring which was 2 inches longer than the other one, tuned the spring and regreased it and re skimmed all the internals as he said inside was all tore up and the piston head was tore hence it only putting out 7 FP ish.

Nice shooting little lady Festa , Gary i like Tonys idea pal. I will have to try that and get Dylan a new gun. Problem is though i dont think he would get bored Si
-
Nice shooting pal. That gun looks very familuar What range did you get them three at? Si
-
Hi Ultra Hunter, I agree with you whole heartedly pal. I too have never found anyone who can fix or tune a rifle like Tony Wall at SFS The guy is a real gent and a fountain of gunsmith knowledge. I bought a Spectre carbine off him in 1997 which was a super tuned HW95K with cut down barrel and full length barrel silencer. It also had a walnut thumb whole stock. What a rifle it was and it would put pellet on pellet every shot at 35 metres without any real effort. I sold it due to living in Germany and not being able to hunt with it legally. I’m sure that that rifle
