A pellets journey starts in the action / breech of the rifle which is usually under the scope. When you zero a rifle the zero comes from the scope as its that you are adjusting to change the scope sight line. The difference between the scope turrets and the end of the barrel isnt seen on a zero, so as Davy said it isnt a problem and doesnt matter. A example of this would be if i marked a line on the floor at 30 metres in a wind free range and ensured that my scope turrets were level with the line. I then zeroed bang on so i could put pellet on pellet from that line. I then move

Thank you all for these very kind words. Ill still be on here but just wont be able to post my air rifle stuff due to German laws. There are a lot of quality people on this section and you all are a credit to our sport. Don’t worry I will find a way of scope camming my 308 when hunting bigger game, and still sneak it on here for you to see until it gets moved by Sean (sorry Sean) LOL. My advice to the new shooters on here is listen to the regulars, they know what they are talking about and will help you all they can. Be impartial, truthful and polite and remember that not

Hi all, I decided to take Dylan my 9 year old out tonight to do some lamping to try and finish this new DVD off a bit more. As you can see he is coming on a treat now with the lamp and even understands how to use the dimmer switch on my tracer max when lamping to ensure that the rabbit isn’t frightened of the red light, just turning the light up enough to get the cross hairs in focus on the scope camera. We ended up with 5 rabbits all humanely dispatched with head shots. One of the rabbits died so fast when hit with the 16 grain FX that it didn’t even twitch. It just flopped.

Thank you for them very kind comments Shay Im glad that your son is interested in shooting too, as it is important that we teach our children like our fathers, freinds or family members before taught us this fantastic sport. A well repsected and wise ex boss of mine once said "A good teacher and instructor is someone who can explain technical details at a lower level so everyone can understand easily". Si

Thanks Chris buddy , You and Joey are real friends for life . Ill still keep in contact with you on here pal from time to time when i pop in to see how things are getting on. The inspiration goes both ways pal as you have also inspired me to do greater things and take my shooting to the next level. I wont go rusty with a rifle pal as will just go back to my deer and wild boar hunting again. I hold a German Jag Schein (hunting licence) so it will just mean that ill have to buy a 308 (7.62 calibre) instead of my old trusty R10. Si

Alex, PM will be sent in 5 mins Si Beggsy, Sorry mate that permission will now just be left to breed and breed as no one else really shoots seriously like me. There are alot of guys with air rifles but are not allowed to shoot on there as they are cowboys and cant hit a rabbit unless its in the side of the body at 10 metres. Maybe one day someone will take on the task like i did but im not sure buddy. The only people that will be able to shoot on there will be military hunters Sorry pal. My 2 farm permissions of 31,000 hecters are going to Festa my long time ma

Hi Alexisrouzee, I see that you use a Gun Power Storm buddy, I used to own one until recently. They are very under estimated rifle and have gained some bad press in the past, but sure do fill game bags. Mine was a custom one that a friend of mine did up for me from new. It had a power adjuster option which enabled me to either shoot at 11.8 FP, 24 FP or 54 FP. Obviously you need a FAC for this to happen. I used to use it mostly at 11.8 FP as I liked the idea that it could easily take down rabbits at 50 metres. I used .22 calibre Bisley Magnums in it up to 24 FP and then

Guys, friends, I have got to tell you all that I am moving with my work back to Germany towards the end of this month, so i havent got many posts with pics and videos left. I could be there for 3 years, but who knows. Due to the hunting laws in Germany I will have to leave my rifles here with my mum and step dad for safe keeping. I will stay a member on the forum, but will not be able to post any photos, or videos until I return back to the UK for my leave which is about 3 times a year. I have 15 minutes more footage to film prior to the new DVD being finished so will try m

Not sure pal, The gunsmith gave it to me for free when i visited him the other day. I think it was one he took out of a rifle that was getting tuned but was still ok. It seems to have bumped the power up to around 11 FP i would guess. Si

Hi all, This is my first kill with the Chinese TS45 that was donated to me to be done up by Shay a regular on here. It was hit at about 20 metres in the side of the head, with the .177 calibre RWS Superdome pellet drilling straight out the top of its head. Just goes to show that you dont need a £700 PCP to get yourself a bit of dinner or kill some vermin. It would be nice to see more posts on here of lads and lasses shooting some older springers to kill some vermin. Its nice to see that i still havent forgotten how to shoot a springer Cheers again Shay, Your a re

Yes thats right Arron pal. The woody was hit in the back of the head where the head meets the neck, just a millimetre above the white patch on the bird and the squizzer was hit in the brain. Si

-
Hi Gary pal, At the short range of 10 metres its hard to miss especially when its my point 1 zero range I wasnt shooting pellets anyway, just sleeping gas, as the squizzer rolled over and went for a nice kip Si

Alex, i hope that you see the light and get yourself a .22 calibre BSA R10 buddy. You will never look back. Zini
