Hi guys, Im after buying 2 Hawke MAP Pro 4-16x50 AO scopes for my 2 new rifles that I'm getting soon. Ive been onto the Hawke website and tried to download the software but it keeps saying that files are missing. Does anyone else know where i can get it from? Si

LOL silent. Why dont you just use a split rabbit? It a lot less effort pal. Si

Hi Jack, A lot of people get confused with the subject of shooting up a steep incline or down a steep decline with shooting up hill over distance. Here is the answer covered in 3 parts: Shooting up a very steep incline “IE almost vertical”. When you zero your rifle your barrel is almost parallel to the ground, so as you zero the rifle gravity effects the under side of the pellet pulling it down towards the floor in a curved arc causing a trajectory. If you are shooting up a VERY STEEP INCLINE then the gravity is affecting the base of the pellet and pulling it down to the fl

In a word "Mint" pal. Its a BSA so will be good. BSA dont make crap rifles, and all the full power rifles they have out now will take any of the legal vermin list easily. SpitFire is a PCP if im correct that you still have to cock. Recoilless, accuarate and light. Cant ask for much better really. Zini

I shoot the first one, and try to shoot every other one that pops its head out to see whats happening in the world. I find that when you wait and 2 or more come out in the sunshine they start and chase each other about and play and wont sit still for a shot. I like it when they come out, have a look about and then sit and scoff some grass. That gives you the best shot just as they lift their heads chewing to look about. As Davy would say TWACK

No mate, Your not waisting your time at all with a .177 calibre rifle. In alot of situtaions i think that they are better than a .22 For a new shooter they have a flatter trajectory so there is not so much holdover/under to worry about. Watch Davy shooting his on scope camera he can hit a target from about 20 yards out to 40 yards with no holdover or under. Brilliant bit of footage and eye opening to what a .177 can do mate. The pellets tend to be cheaper They have greater penetration on long range shots so travel deeper and faster into the brain. You will be able t

I have to agree with Davy, I use my parrallex AO all the time. Its not needed if you tend to just shoot at your zero range where your scope will have no parallex, but if you shoot at all ranges from 10 metres out to 50 you will defo need to move your AO or the target isnt in focus and the POI isnt where you think it is. Hi Davy, You look rather kinky in that kit pal with your cowboy tash and sexy stockings The rollers in your hair would also make good parts to a Air Arms silencer as well so you are onto a real winner there matey Just wondering what underwear your wearing under there??? Si

No problems Shay pal. Si -
I use .22 calibre most of the time pal. I do have a Chinese .177 rifle though. Zini

The Germans use high seats all the time to shoot deer and boar. Ive been sat up there before and seen fox taken and hare with larger calibre rifles. I know German hunters that have shot bunnies from them with .22 rimfire as well but not normally. There is nothing different from sitting in a high seat to sitting on the ground static hunting, apart from the elevation, and as we know static hunting works a treat. Im sure if the seat is in the right location, I.E near a warren you will bag up. Just remember that you cant aim smack on the cross hair though or you will miss or wo

Hi all, Just thought id put up a quick post and show you the new handle that arrived today for my Deban Tracer Max lamp. I have managed to get it to work with my Deben dimmer switch and so it should be very useful now when hunting with a buddy. Ive tapped the handle on / off switch to the on position and now use the on / off button on the dimmer switch. If seems to work a treat. Ive also got a amber filter to try, hopefully it will do well. Ill test it on Friday night when im out lamping again with some pals and give you all a update. Si

Tony the scourer works a treat pal. My R10 is as quiet now as a fly f*rting at 50 yards . Si

Yeah Tony, I have been issued a warning now that lasts 6 months. Someone with a name like GothicAngel sent the complaint to Youtube saying that i breached their guide lines. Apparently a air rifle according to GothicAngel isnt good enough to humanely kill vermin. I feel like apologising to the poor Gothic person who has probably worked all his/her life hard for the country, never doing a thing wrong ever and being a perfect little Goth weired mother f***er, and for not knowing of course after shooting for about 24 years-ish give or take a few that a air rifle isnt humane when u

Hi lads, I took the R10 out for a mooch with the terrier today around the local woods. The terrier bushed me a squizzer up into a tree. I then watched it running across the branches, tree to tree ending high up in a old oak tree. At around 25 metres directly above me it sat there looking down at me from its vertical postion thinking "your a :wankerzo4: and you cant touch me". Oh how wrong he was as i slipped the old trusty out its case and aimed well low to compensate for the gravity pull on the underside of the 16 grain FX. Giving it 2 mil dots hold under i released t

Sounds good to me Shay buddy, Thanks for the offer pal thats very kind of you buddy Next time im over on leave why dont we meet and shoot some hunting footage together with the springers mate and ill edit it for the new DVD? Davy can come but only if he makes us a cuppa and a corn dog I think Davy should treat himself to a nice springer and join our club I know he is starting to feel the force of the springer LOL. Si

whats the best air rifle youve used
zini replied to POG's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Hiya POG, Where in Notts you from mate? Im a Mansfield lad myself originally. Welcome to the forum buddy. In answer to you question it as to be a Chinese made TS45 spring gun that was donated to me by a very good friend, as it was free so didnt cost me a penny, it shoots nicely for the how it was made (quickly in a factory) and kills pests easily out to 25 metres. So for that reason it as to be the best rifle ive used. Zini -
Yes im getting the tuned HW95k later in a few months time after the HW97KT then putting that stock on the HW95K pal. I think that i will have 2 really cool springers then for the next DVD pal. Si
