    It’s definitely not the rifle Rog. If you hit the birds and there were feathers all over the place you obviously hit the woodies in the wrong area. When a woody is facing you, you need to shoot the head, neck or heart for a instant kill. When a woody is facing away from you, you need to hit the back of the head or between the top of the shoulder blades. If you miss and hit anywhere else you will most certainly wound the bird causing it distress. Look at this link that I’ve just put up to help explain what I have just written Zini

    LOL Gary , Tony i was up on my permission in the Summer just gone. There is this structure that the soldiers have built there to signify a Forward Operating Base out in Afghanistan. I was hiding in this structure static shooting bunnies. After i shot 2 I didnt want to carry them around my permission as i was having a good stalk about after squizzers. I sat them at the side of the road knowing that i was only going to be a hour tops before i came back to pick them up. After about 45 mins i returned to pick up my bunnies to find them both in the middle of the road with

    Airgunner2010, As said the rifle is a cheap Chinese manufactured rifle. That said as long as you can group it ok, meaning that it is consistant enough for you and you are having fun using it, it doesnt matter what others think about it. I own 2 very good and expensive PCPs, I also own a Chinese TS45 which will cost about £35 tops. I get as much fun and joy shooting that than i do my PCps. All I said is You will be able to kill humanly with a full power (11.5 FP) .177 to 55 yards if your shooting is up to it pal, and you can put a pellet in the kill area”.
