  3. silverbirch saplings , also ash saplings make great rat whips , i also use thin 3/16 th. fibre glass poles , those 1/2 inch round bendy plastic poles with the steel spike on the end , that are used to hold up the plastic sheep netting that is electrified , they can be found on any farm , and work very well , i have snared some very large rats with them , woodga uses them he also uses holly whips , p and g and duckwing also red dog are all good rat snarers , to get the black 3/16 fibre glass poles contact alan salmon the guy who sells the long nets, hope this helps, snareman.

It's more than a full time job and there is plenty of work available. The problem is that it doesn't pay particularly well. If you want a job that pays fortunes then it's not a trade to move into. There is money in it but it's very competitive and salesmen drive the value of the job down constantly. You have to adapt to the seasons and you only work more than 40 hours if you want to! Poisons and gas play their part but so do traps, pellets and ferrets. Each individual job warrants an individual treatment and one of the great parts about it is solving the problem in the best way. Very few
  18. there is nothing wrong with the pictures the foot hold trap is legal all over north america and my friend who is a pro trapper in northern canada uses them to catch coyote and wolf along with snares and they ship them to australia to use for the foxes that causes a lot of damage to the small mamals and they also have a problem with feral cats so keep using them and get hundreds more to run a long line and get plenty pictures posted good luck mate G.W Snareman Scotland
