  1. spot on Tony Its already been gutted and split in two and shared in both Gos aviaries, I wonder if they recognise its the pesky one thats been teasing them cheers, Tony
  2. nice one lads .... I wasn't going to bother putting a post up just for one squirrell but I reckon I earned that one waiting for him for the best part of a day. Patience is not a strong point as I have got older but have to say I enjoyed sitting quiet and watching all the wildlife, I could of had a pigeon a few times landing close by but its was Mr Squirrell I had the gripe with .. atb, Jasp
  3. blew off a few cobwebs and Dusted down the Air Ranger a week or so ago for the purpose of eliminateing a pesky Squirrell . to cut a long story short its been running havoc around the aviaries chewing the mesh roof and also encouraging the birds to crash into the net to catch the bloody thing, the final straw came when its been pinching the few cherries off the cherry tree. time and time again I saw him out there and the bloody thing would be off as soon as I walked out with the gun ,. today was a different story!! I stuck some Camo on and sat and waited and waited and waited until the

  5. I forget about that si . I walked that place one time late Aprill and generaly walked onto without trying 7 grass snakes, the kids thought it fantastic back then, now its facebook, Xbox and texting .....

Looks good mate . don't look like you'll have any problem with her when she is set up in a aviary next year..........
  7. not good.... pretty poor crop all round apart from in the polytunnel which is doing ok at the minute
  8. picked a good few up a few years ago when the kids was younger, there was one spot near a lake where we would always find one or two. the missus also picked them up in the Garden last year near the compost heap
  9. I was going to stick "Muttley" my old Patt near the one thats getting Hammered the most ... Can't beleive how close they have come in to the house, its probably about 30ft at the most from the back door and less from the Kennels with Muttley in .....
  10. I bet they have some cracking sport out there, what a way to fill the freezer up... I'm enviouse ..........
  11. Can anyone give me some advice how to stop the deer mullering our young apple trees? I put a plastic sleeve round the base of the trunk to protect them but the Deer are now eating all the leaves and shoots off the bottom branches and knocking small apples off.... I suppose the best thing is to net them but is there a spray or somthing I can lay down to keep them away? I know a .243 would be handy in these situations .....

Fingers crossed for you Mac.... I hope you manage to get some Gos semen into her next year mate . one of the only problems is Spars are usually first or second week of May or if she goes down later your donor Gos could well be shutting down, then again the way the weather is lately there is no telling. I know a Guy called Hugh knocked some out last year useing Chris Soans male "Bart", he's a good male and will give well into may which is handy fopr these hybrids, Andy Reeve took one on last season but have no idea how things turned out, have heard of others in the past being pretty electr

definitely a specialist bird expecially if taking the P/R route. found in the past the slips when hedgerow bashing in open country can be a difficult unless you have a acomplice tapping them out for you ....

no prisoners taken.. straight from the hip everytime .....
  15. Good point Graham. a win bonus aswel as a Goal bonus to increase their wages would certainly give them more of a incentive to run themselves ragged for 90 mins. at the moment they get paid X amount of thousands of pounds just for turning up and being picked to play win or lose. I have no doubt some players wear their hearts on the sleeves for club and country but a minority seem to treat games like a day at the office... Andy Murray put everything into the game with Federer, no doubt about it the lad threw everything in his arsenal at him! Can't fault him for that .....
  16. Have to give him his doo's the lad put up a decent fight, he lost to a good worthy champion.... the way murray played he could well have won against anyones else except federer
  17. Don't think she has ever had such hammering since you got your hands on her mate... she came back to me with her backbox smashed in aswell as her whole bottom needing a rebuild .....
  18. over the years I tried tracking back the blood lines Alex and concluded they originated from old welsh stock. I picked up a tiercel in 92 from a big breeder at the time in cleveland, this was paired in 95 with a 91 turner female. that old pair bonded lovely alex straight away and produced for many years with my old tiercel dieing at 16, I kept females back from him over the years taking the imprint route and also new blood a different pairing I was in partnership on. we have done everything possible to P/R everything alex apart from two, it would be nice to hear of them being flown in
  19. some exceptional pictures guys . things have come a long way since the instamatic cameras used in some of my old pictures .......
  20. a few young peregrine pictures taken through the spyhole this year on both ledges ..
  21. Redline the new model Cookie and see how far she goes before she hits the rev limiter, Unfortunatly my old models suspension is getting a bit saggy and could also do with top end rebuild and re-sleeving. not surprising when I think about the amount of times the old piston has been hammering her cyclinder bore, the backbox is getting a bit loud these days too.... also plenty of piston slap and rattles when I get at the peak of her rev range .... Jasp
  22. No doubt about it he can play Tennis but what a handsome fella he is too .......
  23. You wouldn't want to be wearing shorts would ya... your Balls would get sucked through the carburettor .... Looks like a old Yammy XT500 engine?
  24. Very nice John... shame you wasn't closer, I'm a bit of a cider drinker myself
